look carefully in between those vents do you see any giant coils in it that resemble the stepdown?

Did the seller power it up in front of you and show you it worked?

Unlike pachislos that can be either 100v or 24v. All pachinkos are 24vac. If no step down used, you have damaged the switching PSU that supplies different voltages to all parts of the machine.

You may have to open it up and see what's blown inside.

you most likely blew it up like clam said. there is a chance there is a fuse inside that took the hit. do you smell burnt electronics in that psu?

Well.a disclaimer would be. Maybe it was already blown. Did the original advert show it powered up? Don't worry. It happens. It's not the first and it will not be the last.

Oh I don't know why. But I can only access this thread through the tapatalk app as it throws up an error through a web browser

I found the burnt fuse. Nothing else looks or smells wrong, so hopefully an easy fix.

    Then I’ll get a 24V step down

the fuse did its job! besides the external fuse that's the last defense for an over current. good thing they put them in there.

Can you make out the markings on the silver part of it? it is soldered in. are you good with soldering ? I can help you locate a replacement. Digikey or Mouser Electronics should have them.

If you cant find a 24vac step down i have several. that i would part with if you do not have another source for one.

the rest of that supply should be good since the fuse took the hit and then some.

Thanks! My friend is good with soldering so I’ll ask for his help.

I can’t tell what marking are in the fuse until we remove it.

Still looking into a step down

Once you remove it you may need a magnifying glass to read it. Unless you have 20/20 vision.

or use your phone to take a close picture and then zoom in on it that can work too.

here is a video of replacing soldered fuses for fun

    https://youtu.be/K9D6rSlogvc

make sure the fuse you get is a FAST ACTING with axial leads and that the voltage and amps match

    like this one

    https://www.gordonelectricsupply.com...CABEgJT_vD_BwE

good luck and let us know how it works out. I want to see the game play on it.

and as for the error unless using tapatalk I have seen that with other threads i just though it was only me. the post Frank has about new stuff is gives me that error to. Maybe the forums db needs a repair or optoimization ... duno

That one says F2, where's F1? And for testing, I'd get a fuse holder, possible the in-line type and temp solder that in cause if there's other issues, you'll be soldering in fuse after fuse till it's fixed. I'd check any other components close to that fuse to see if they haven't shorted out.

Is there any reason not to permanently mount a fuse holder so that I can always easily change fuses without soldering?

you could. you would need to make sure the the wires don't sit on another component that gets hot or it will melt them. that fuse is there to protect from exactly what happened way to high of voltage or a major surge. etc....its rare that you normally would need to replace it often.

You could replace it with a through hole fuse holder like this one.

    https://uk.farnell.com/multicomp/mc0...pcb/dp/2461161

But you would have to measure your board and check out different spec sheets to confirm the holes in the board line up with the pins on the fuse holder.
