Default Sankyo Model B style restore

In the middle of restoring a sankyo model b. I am trying to figure out what this part does. The unit has no problem loading balls but this part is broken.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Con you post a pic? I got the message, "Sorry, the product was not found." when I clicked your link. It went to Pachinko Planet, but was a blank page, except for the message.

That is the overflow shutoff. To many winning balls will back up and push the lever which in turn pushes the ball loader away so you can longer shoot.

Hmm just playing with it now I see it can restrict the ball loader from accepting balls but I'm still not clear how the lever works with overflowing balls. Are you taking about balls that go through the bonuses or the balls you win that fall into the bottom tray? I guess i can see how it could detect too many balls in the lower tray but it seems as though that would be a huge amount! I deliberately tried to overflow the bottom tray with like 1000 balls and I am not seeing the level move at all.

The winning balls overflow to the bottom tray once the top tray is full. Winning balls then flow to the bottom tray. They will eventually back up enough to fill the side where the overflow lever is.

I like everything to work...but if this is broken, it won't be a real problem. In a parlor...if someone is winning BIG and both trays are full, stopping the shooter will prevent jams or malfunctions. As you learned by testing...it is very hard to win that many balls. Therefore, that failsafe is not really necessary for home use.

Thanks for the clarification, I will now spend my time on polishing nails and not worry about the lever!
