I just bought a medal dispenser for about 200 shipped by sea . Now all i need is a medal counter, ball counter, and ball dispenser.

    Way cool.

I asume that they take Japanese Notes. In some post I read that there are old and new notes, sort of like the old and new 20s/50s here. Do you know if this is ok with the new notes.

What kind of quantities did they have and how much trouble was it to get it over here.
I like these kinds of accessories.

It works with only the old notes but i am going to have it so i can put a switch on the back on the machine and then when i press it, it will trick the machine into thinking money has been inserted. There are quite a few available i just bought it tonite and then it will take about a month to be shipped by sea. you could also try to make some of your own pachi money to try to get it to work with that

I had some questions how you would make this work, but it seems like you have a plan!

This would go against gaming laws in most states, but does anyone think that it is possible to change the bill acceptor to an American model?

They already make those, just walk into any arcade.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

I just ordered a couple more of these also (by sea). I guess we'll both see how well that works!

The acceptor has a couple of optical scanners plus a couple of magnetic (like card) scanners, top and bottom. I assume the magnetic scanners read the '1000' number on the bill as this is special ink much like the 'glittery' numbers on our modern bills. Might be tough to emulate in a home made 'Pachi' buck.

The "change maker" is not against gaming laws. Car washes, arcades, etc have these all over. http://www.happcontrols.com/validators/42697100.htm sells bill validators.

You still need some logic to make these work so I doubt that this would be a 1:1 swap. If you want the Japanese look you might be just as well off as getting a old carwash bill changer and swaping the guts wholesale.

My vegas machines have a bill acceptor. It would be a challenge as it takes multiple denominations, you can also program it so that 1.00 = xx number of credits. Mine is default at 4 but I could easily turn them into penny slots. I have the coin comparitor only set for tokens.

Just a couple of days ago. Are you going direct or through Kiaigumi?

Do these connect directly to a machine? If so, does this changer have the potential to store credits? Just curious, they seem to be more than your average arcade stand-alone change machine. These certainly are a cool accessory from the parlors, just like the battle counters that have been discussed recently.
