Default Heiwa Pachink Machine Restoration Help

My dad bought this machine over 30+ years ago at a yard sale. I don't think it has ever worked since he bought it. He gave it to me and I'm trying to get the machine up and running. The wires on the back are hanging out. They come from the first switch (see the picture) from the initial ball loading tray. I don't see where they would have been connected. Does anyone have any ideas where they might go? Also, does anyone know where I could find a key for the front keyhole?
    Thank you in advance,
    Chris

Hello and welcome. Looks like those wires were added to power the lights. You can probably remove them and attach power (9 volt) to the red and black connectors. Power only required for lights. Machine is purely mechanical.

Thank you very much. I'm trying to figure out when the lights are supposed to turn on through the series of switches. I think one switch is supposed to turn on the "no balls in the top tray" light. There is also a wired switch on the middle right side that looks like it might be for a jackpot light?

If I am correct, those wire were probably just signal wires for the parlor to let them know when the machine was out of balls. As I believe that machine has 2 micro switches stacked on top of each other there. In which case one is for triggering the ball out light on the machine and the other is the signal switch for the parlor.

I know your machine isn't a nishijin but this wiring diagram should be pretty similar.

That's interesting. Thanks for explaining why there were are two microswitches for the ball tray!

Thanks for everyone's input. I think the machine is working correctly, but I don't know what this cog is for in the attached picture. If it's down, it completely stops the balls from entering the ball chute and never moves back up on it's own.

Yea, it's a manual lockout basically. I have a few with a similar block, never use them myself.
