    if you have a decent multimeter that has the diode setting on it. you can test each led individually. the cathode will be your black lead on com. the red lead goes to the anode. try the leads on either side of it. if its working it will light up from the battery of the meter. if you need a more details I can make a video for you if you like on how. just let me know.
