    Question Coin/token reject

My Final Juggler machine doesn't have a switch to eject tokens. You have to reach into the hopper to get the tokens. All my other machines have eject switches. The Juggler does have two slide switch at bottom of the power supply, but instruction book says they may be disabled. Does anybody know if one of these is the token eject switch? If it is, can it just be hooked back up? Or could I find some voltage off that power supply and using one of those slide switches hook up power to motor in hopper to have a way to eject tokens. Need someone with good knowledge of machines to respond. Thanks tim

I know this isn't the answer you want, but I solved the issue of opening the machine for tokens.

    I bought more tokens.

Wayne-oo That was a great idea. I took all the tokens from my other machines and just kept jamming then in so I didn't have to open the door. Then all of sudden smoke and fire came out of the machine from being shorted out. I'll be over to your place to pick out a machine for your great idea. Tim

Your welcome to come over, but all of my machines started to smoke and fire came out of them, from being shorted out.

Well. In theory if you isolate the motor power and the opto sensor from the hopper to the main processor. You could run your own power to the motor to turn the disc. I wouldn't advise trying to locate a processor board output to power it as the current draw and back EMF may cause component damage.

well I did isolate the motor and one 5v leg of the opto sensor with a 3pdt switch. I found good 22v off a regulator. I flip the switch to eject position and motor runs and kicks out coins. I put switch in run position and get HE code. If I unplug hopper wires and do reset, machine plays like normal. Never got enough wins to get past 50 on credits display. I'm sure I would get some code since hopper is not hooked up. I've checked all my wiring and just can't figure out what's happening to get that HE code. I tried bunch times to reset, but if hopper is hooked up I get code.

Does it go to error if the hopper is unplugged or just on the switch?

its probably running a normally closed circuit. so isolating the opto would have the reverse effect.
as to how to go forward, that depends on the wiring loom.

What I did to isolate the sensor was, cut the trace, solder a wire on each side of trace and then to a couple legs of the switch. I checked my wiring over and over. It should work. Only place I had problem was soldering wires to that small switch. I reconnected that trace and no more codes. I was worried about running that motor with opto sensor hooked up and counting. I thought might screw up pay outs, but it didn't. After I use my switch to eject the coins, I do have to do a reset. All is well

Thanks for your thoughts. I think that from what you said I now understand what was my problem. I think if I would of killed the ground on that sensor that I would of not got that error code. That why I lost the code when I unhooked the hopper wires. I not happy with my connector, so I need to replace it. Just to hard for me to solder the pins because that connector is so small. I now know the I really don't need to shut down that sensor to eject the coins. Bigger connector and bigger switch.
