Default 1990 Sankyo UFO (Fever) Pachinko Machine

Followed up on some craigslist ads this week. These machines looked pretty rough and needed some help so I took a gamble and bought one for $40.

As you can see, the dirt and grime was caked onto the machine, and it needed some serious TLC.

This machine surprised me, and while it needed some mechanical help, all of the electronics are fully functioning. I did have to dig into the handle (automatic shooter) to repair some electric in the shooter knob. Really hard for me to believe it all works after the pick I went through to get it. I’m thinking about saving the other three that were available.

Couldn’t be happier with my seventh Pachinko machine and my first early modern style machine!

Both Nishijin machines still available do not have plugs for operation...how difficult would it be to get them to run on household current?? (I have a good soldering iron.)

Hope you guys enjoy the post (even though it isn’t as vintage.) I must admit though, I didn’t think I’d dig this machine as much as I do now!

Also, does anyone know someone or somewhere I can get Pachinko balls from cheap?? I need about another 1-2 thousand of them!

That sure cleaned up nicely! Nice find

Adding a 24vac transformer is easy enough to do for the other machines. My guess is that a 3amp size should do alright on the older models but just my guess. If they are missing the power input wires all-together coming off the machine then post pictures as someone can certainly help out.

By the way, an early modern is what got me so hooked on the bigger and brighter moderns that have filled my place

Nice looking machine! I am anxious to get my hands on an early modern machine myself. Excellent work on the clean up job, it turned out great! Congrats!
