    Default Restored or hobbyist?

Just curious..... After reading a fair amount of threads, it seems like a lot of you are hobbyist that are looking for help to get a machine working. Lots of advice on how to clean, adjust, etc.
I restore and resell machines. Mainly the vintage 70’s machines, although I have done a couple of the newer machines.
How many restorers are there out there?

Do you do complete tear downs? Or just clean as best you can?

I just picked up 4 machines on my recent visit to Chicago. I’ll do complete tear downs on all of them for resale. I also tear down the frames, sand and poly them. Pull the nails, etc. Only thing I don’t do is a cell replacement.
If I do a commission piece, I’ll offer a tear down and cleaning of the guts and a general cleaning of the front.

don’t do Facebook either but I do complete tear downs and that’s only on arrangeball machines though I’ve done a couple of vintage pachinkos. I’m far more interested in old school electro mechanical pinball machines and building mid century modern furniture these days but I’ll always have an interest in pachinko.
