Default Ground leg wiring for volume pot.

Just bought a Sammy King Camel and after plugging in the bottom speaker I browsed the forum for solutions to turning that down to a level that would not cause my ears to bleed. I loved the bass it added but was too loud even in my basement. If I have this correct I believe I need a 500 ohm pot for the bottom speaker (2k ohm for the top) wired in line on the yellow wire. My question is that 1st leg is the ground and where do I attach it. The chassis is wood so that won't work. I'm no expert but I thought grounding it properly will eliminate any buzzing or noise. Not sure if that is true with these units but I think it is with audio wiring in cars. Do you wire it to something or leave it bare?

I hate being the buzz kill on Crabmass Eve

I'm guessing the plug is a 2 wire plug?? of it is a 3 wire then ground yours to the same place the 3rd wire is.. if yours is a 2 wire plug i would try a few places like the latch for the door or the door hinge and see if that kills you buzz

    and of course

I now have a bigger problem - I'll make another post if needed but I was hoping you could help. I unplugged the machine, laid it on its side, put some felt on the bottom and then turned it back on.it accepts coins but the reels don't spin I reset it several times with the same result. Any special procedure you know of to get them to spin.

I'll create a separate post if needed but I can't get my reels to spin now. Machine was working perfectly. I unplugged it. Laid it on its side and added some felt to the bottom and put it back upright and plugged it in. The machine accepts token but now the reeks don't spin I tried the reset process but it doesn't help. Any idea what may be wrong. If you do please tell me in Newby detail as I just got the machine about a week ago.

If it was working before you laid it on it's side, then my guess would be that a connection is loose.

Best thing to do, is to reset all the connections. Even if the connection looks good, go ahead and unplug it and plug it back in. This will take several minutes to reset all the connections, but a bad/loose connection is the problem 99% of the time.

You guys are master pachislo guru's! I unplugged large and small connectors on the door and a bunch of large and small above the reels. Not all of them but thought let's give it a try after resetting 15 or so. I forgot I flipped the power switch off before unplugging it and when I plugged it in there was nothing! A bunch of 4 letter words happened next and then I realized I flipped the switch. It powered up and had the E1 error code - I cleared that and threw in 3 tokens and the reels were spinning like old times.

Thank you so much for saving me. We're having a Christmas eve party and I wanted the kids to play this tonight. Just received 500 coins and my new cylinder and key when the reels stopped. I figured I just wasted that $

    Huge thank you! Merry Christmas
