Default First Pachinko machine - need help

    Hi folks,

New to the Pachinko scene, picked up this machine from a friend. So far, I cannot get the jackpot to payout. Also working on lights to work....however, I understand not necessary to play.

Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks - Joe

Hello and welcome. Very cool first machine, looks to be an exchanger model with removable cell. Check the back plastic. Should read DC 24. That model requires power as the payout is solenoid driven. Connect to the red and black terminals.

im not familiar with that machine needing power.. but if power is required it would most likely be 24 volts dc.. please do not plug it in to 110 volts.. 110 volts will release the magical blue smoke from within..

based on your picture i would say you dont have enough Pachinko balls for the machine to work right.. vintage machines have a few checks and balance features.. if your low on balls or nearly out of balls (like your picture shows) a machine will stop working..

take a look at these vids.. there are of machine that are similar to your machine but not exactly.. but with all vintage machines the concepts are similar, with the layout of parts being different.. hope this helps you

I don't know of any pachinko machine that used DC in the parlors. The vintage were 8VAC, anything else is 24VAC. Some with special features had their own small transformer to convert parlor voltage to special voltages. The sticker in the upper right of the back might list voltages.

I see that it says DC, not sure how that worked in a parlor. I have seen parlor 8VAC transformers, very very rare now.

Pictures below, my 1st machine has the same voltage listed on the plastic cell.

What at I am gathering is get / purchase a 110 to 24 converter and then purchase more pachinko balls.
