Question Visiting Tokyo - what machines should I play?

Hello everyone - it's been far too long.
    How are you all?

My family and I are in Tokyo this December for a Xmas break, and I'm gonna drag them to Ginza to a non-smoking, English-led parlour to experience the MADNESS!

    http://www.pachinko-play.com/en/kant...u/p-ark_ginza/

Now you may remember I'm a hanemono/kenrimono man, but my partner will be up for anything simple and non-sexist/violent (hmmm, that's QUITE a task within Pachinko isn't it?). My 16 year old is a Japanophile and an anime fan, so she'll be happy around anything on that theme.

Here's the parlour machine list: http://www.pachinko-play.com/en/machine/index.html

    What do you recommend?
I've been away from the new releases so long, I recognise just about none of them...

    Hello Ian!

My 16 year old is 5 ft 10" and looks like an adult now - I think she'll pass ok.

I think you need to be at least 18 to enter parlors.

I think we mean, we don't promote under aged gambling or illegal activities.

    I'm sure you understand.

    That's absolutely right.

Anything I choose to do is on me, not because of something I read here.
My family make their own decisions, with all facts at hand.

Well, whatever we do, I'll be posting videos and photos for you all to enjoy on our return (Mid January 2019) as let's face it, WHO ELSE would understand?

I really enjoyed the newest Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Garo Goldstorm, and Symphogear machines when I was in Japan last month.

First of all. Please play in Kawasaki or Yokohama or anywhere else in the Kanagawa prefecture. Check out yokohama or something because all of Tokyo parlors have a “take” or a win tax and are way over populated.

Jon I’m sure would be willing to do a meet up and also they don’t check IDs in parlors atleast in Kanagawa. Idk about tokyo

as for machines. Try a symphogear 1/199 or symphogear lite 1/99, easy machine with a decent payout and is entertaining.

Fecil may cry 4 is another good macbine which is all in English!! There is some explicit language, especially if you win the bonus, but I’m sure it would be fine.

Try a tokio special/delux as it’s a skill machine and is a lot of fun.

Be prepared to spend a good amount of your day there

private message me if you need parlor recommendations as I live in japan but won’t be here during your trip

    OK I've done some analysis.

Do be careful about getting ID checked. I know you're confident, but you don't want to be the ones that get done. I'd suggest trying a gamecenter with family.

Now onto the list... I'm not confident that the list is correct by any means. The reason being they say they have machines on 1/390, 1/397 etc. there. These machines are illegal to be sited in parlours, so either they have been removed, or the parlour is treading on eggshells keeping such a list up. We have a parlour near here that has illegal machines, and it's not advertised anywhere online.

For you, there's Tokio Special. For your wife, try Great King, Excite Jack, Fever Queen, Kudamono, or Super Wan Wan. Nice and shouldn't be anything distasteful on them. If your daughter does find something, there's plenty of Eva and Haruhi Suzumiya. But as above, don't risk it; You can find a fine selection in any game center.

If you find yourself at a loose end and want to bring yourself down my way for a session, send me a PM and I'll find us a good place with plenty of Hane/Kenri on a light 1 yen stake.
If you're disappointed with P-Ark, look for the Kaleido brand. THere's one in Shinjuku; They pride themselves on having nonsmoking.

I agree with the others the Tokio Premium is a lot of fun! Probably Tokio Special too, but haven’t played it personally. Tropical Raised feathers (?) digi-hane is VERY fun! It’s fairly PG-13 besides one of the reaches that involves oiling down one of the ladies with suntan oil. My girlfriend is a feminist and enjoys it thoroughly, says it’s the best pachinko I own, your experience may vary! 😂Dynamite king appears to be a pretty fun kenri... also that Sankyo Jet Arrow kenri looks interesting! I like kenrimonos too so report back! 😀

Thanks so much for the suggestions!
Of course with just 5 days in Japan total, and two absolute newbies by my side, there's no way we'll leave Tokyo proper.
    Next time!

You're right - the list is at least 12 months old, probably much older, as that page has been up for eons and has not been changed, and is clearly not parlour-specific. So yes, I think we'll have to take what we get on the day.

Oh, and thanks for the reminder about the gamecenters...I remember they had older hane's when I was last there in 2010, you're right! Do they tend to have newer machines now too?

I will video and take as many photos as it practical, as I know how much they can mean to someone on the other side of the screen (and the world) when you can't get there yourself.
It's funny....I was going to buy one of those fake glasses w/camera hidden inside, or even the Spy Hat camera one you can easily get on eBay these days, for another purpose (vinyl record shopping, seeing as you asked! ) but I think I'll just use my phone connected in a round-the-neck harness arrangement, and see how far I get. And yes, I'm well aware the operators may not like that, so I'll have plenty of "sumimasen's" ready should I get asked to stop.

I found the same links you did and discovered this too.
Still - there are some terrific suggestions above that I'll take with, and use as we discover.

    cheers!

Videos are very easy in the parlour because most people playing are glued to their phone anyway and not focusing on the game itself lol. if you stick your smartphone up in front of the machine, no one knows if youre reading Facebook or actually recording. Or even watching a movie like ive seen some people do....!

Wow - OK, things have changed (of course).
There was no smartphone going on in 2009 when I was there.
