Thumbs up Balls not feeding, blinking red light

I have an electric animated Woody Woodpecker machine that powers on fine but won't shoot balls and their is a flashing red light on the back in one of the circuit housings. Everything looks to be in Japanese so I have no model #. Attached is a pic, any help is appreciated, let me know if I need to provide additional pics. Thank you.pachinko.JPG

Presume it's this Maruhon Model from 2004

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/loca...=6&linkid=1529

Did it work fine before or is it new to you, check the rear hopper has plenty of balls in it, and you're making good contact with the grounding ring on the shooter, some machines need you to have a lot of your hand contact

Is there an error code number on the back

That is the machine, it had always worked fine but when I moved, it hadn't been tried for a few years. There are plenty of balls in the hopper and when the dial is engaged to shoot, it just makes a clicking noise, the same it does when the balls are actually shooting. No error code seen either.

so you are getting the nice rythmic hammer thud, but no actual balls are fired? If so. then you probably have an obstruction somewhere in the ball feed to the shooter. open the front glass and then open the front tray, using the release catch that is normally on the right side, check for any obstruction or dust/fluff build up.

    if no hammer firing,
You could try removing and reseating your dongle. (the weird plastic thing with the big hole in it, you can see in your picture.

Open the front glass then open the ball tray door. Check for an obstruction in the ball path.

I have the same machine and the blinking red light is telling you that the balls in the top hopper in back are not making it to the payout motor. Compare my two pictures below for a few options. In the yellow outlined boxes there are two items to look at. The upper one stops the flow of balls and should be flipped up as in pic #2. In the lower right box is the mechanism that dumps most of the ball from above. This should be pushed down slightly into position so the balls will no longer pass by freely, pic #2.

Look over these two areas to see if one is the problem for your flashing light. I can still shoot balls with that same light flashing so it seems that you have a couple things going on. I guess the same light may flash for another error as well.

Prior to starting this thread, I removed all the balls and then reloaded, they all seemed to go down through the appropriate channel and sit ready to fire. I opened the front glass but saw no relelase catch to open a tray door. Here is the pic if you would be able to show me where that might be.pachinko2.jpg

Middle right side on this picture is a small tab. Press that down and the tray above the shooter knob will swing open.

SO I got the tray open, (thanks to you. Would have never seen that tab that was almost hidden) The tray is empty and looks clean (see pic) and the shooting mechanism seems to be functioning properly. pachinko 3.jpg

Okay, so the hammer is moving with the shooter knob being turned which will launch the balls?

    desktop1.jpg

Load the front upper shooter tray with some balls. With this part opened up the balls should flip out once (on the backside next to my pen) for every shot the shooter knob fires the hammer. This sets up the next ball to shoot out onto the play field.

    desktop2.jpg

(disregard that extra sensor that you see in the first picture as it has nothing to do with your machines ability to fire balls )

The balls I loaded manually from the front shoot just fine, but the automatic feed from the back still not functional.

I’d pull the payout motor and ball dispensing “gear” or wheel at this point an see if something is jammed up since the balls are flowing to the motor. You should be able to manually dispense balls by spinning the gear with your finger once the motor is removed. Might held to clean out the gunk on the tracks near the payout motor as they can get gummed up and cause the balls to jam. Usually there’s just a few screws securing the payout motor.

So it's the feeder on the back of the feeder tray door that's not working for you??

I think you need to be clearer what the actual fault is.
Is the shooter not working、 or is it not paying out winnings.

If it is the lack of paying out balls won then can you post a couple pictures of the back right half?

So plenty of balls are loaded but they dont feed, just get a clicking noise when the shooting dial is turned. I have 3 pictures here of what I am assuming is the motor( the part where the balls flow through from the basket of balls to be shot)IMG_3002.jpgIMG_3004.jpgIMG_3003.jpg that feeds the balls? When I disconnect the green/yellow lead, the flashing red light goes solid and a green light next to it comes on. Please let me know if I am looking in the right place and if this needs to be replaced, how I might be able to go about doing it. THANK YOU for all of your replies.

can you turn the motor disc by hand.
also do balls flow down both ball paths the the motor. if one of the paths is blocked, then that can cause issues. I assume you had balls fall out when you removed the payout motor.

I can turn the motor disc by hand and balls do flow down both holes in the motor casing. All the balls did drop when I removed the motor as well. Red light still blinking??
