Before taking things apart, have you tried the frame reset button?

I believe e81 and 82 refer to the LH and RH clickers not working. There have been a few Japanese comments about this with Star Wars. Seems to be an issue. Might need a new motor. But as to where
To get one is more the issue.

Yes i have narrowed it down to the dredded clicker. I want to inspect it. It seems to be binding. If i tap it it will move a few times then stops again. I wish someone had a tech manual they could share. I swore i saw so.eone say they had a pdf of one.

The reset button is near the on/off switch in back (have you tried that?) I commented on your YouTube post. Search for the forum topic I posted (or replied to) on this. I believe under Pachinko mods.

Sorry to say I don't have that frame but please see Calypso's response. Many of my machines have both a frame and cell reset button. For my frame resetting I simply hold in the button for several seconds after powering up. For the cell reset I hold the button in for up to ten seconds while powering up the machine.

Found that. I never had to reset any of mine before. Strangely Today I turned it on and its fine .......... I saw the motor stopped and not turning the machine was less noisy. I knew something was wrong then the code kept coming back. E81 with different language i never heard before (the video I posted). I will take it but I am afraid it will continue to get worse. I have lots of connections in Japanese copier manufactures. Some of these motors, solenoids, electronic clutches etc are similar if not the same. At least that what it looks like. I really want to tear it down clean the crap out while at it and see whats going on.

I am still trying to figure out why on earth did they not just make a simple less noisy / problematic diversionary device. When I go to bed at night I can still hear them lol. My wife hates them and the loud casino noise that comes from the basement

Sounds like a loose or weakened connection or that the part is near failing. Glad to hear that you have connections that might be able to help with parts.

Honestly, that is why this model is available pretty cheaply & came over so fast. They kept dying on the casino floor in Japan. Parlors couldn't wait to ship them to us. Annoying (I know) because I have one!

Ya that was dumb of them to design it like this but i guess they expect these to only be in production for 2 years. I am determined when i actually have free time i will take it all apart and document it all. So if so.eone else needs to. Possibly it could help them not do it wrong. I will keep you guys posted when i do. For now im leaving it but if it comes back i will.

What kind of frame is that called ? I want to keep searching for a tech manual maybe ill get lucky a d find one .

When I imported 2 of these. one was so filthy I stripped and cleaned it. But that was 2 years ago. I think there was 2 wires for the motor and 2 wires for a sensor to detect the motor had moved. I think there is a little magnet in the flipper
In fact one of the ones I sold broke down with this fault. The buyer said he unplugged the motor/sensor and the fault code disappeared. But then the ball will never go down the flipper path.

Can you find the link to my older post about how mine were removed?
I can try to dig it up.
Clam is on the right path with the sensors and magnets. After careful removal there was another piece needed to trick the machine into thinking nothing was "wrong" so it wouldn't wig out on you while playing. Occasionally I could theoretically still an error code but hasn't happened yet.

I discovered that's why my machine flashes "white" light for a while upon start-up (thanks for Quester for pointing it out), it is because the game knows its not "complete" but is able to continue to run without error 'beeps' or screens.

I did find the video showing to remove 2 connectors let it error and reboot and play it. I am looking to actually disassemble it to the motor and see whats going on. What type it is. It seems like a pancake solenoid. I also see there is a board along with it. Disconne ting it will. E my back up plan

I dont need the double reboot to play it. That white flashing stops and then goes into normal attract mode.

No I thought mine was due to the alteration...but if yours do it naturally...than perhaps it is normal? Quester said (I think it was him) that it wasnt normal. They are supposed to go right into normal attract lights. (instead of waiting for a few minutes of the flashing white).

Where is the frame reset button on the Darth Vader battle Pachinko machine? Animatronic spacecraft does not operate properly and gets hung up behind screen
