There are two sizes on the machine. I learned this after my floor ate quite a few.

3mm and 2.5mm are the sizes needed. I had to order on eBay and I got a set for RC models cheap... hoping the shiny new one will show up unlike the rusty ones. Sigh.

First section disassembled and ready for cleaning. Making sure to go slow and take lots of pictures.

Is it best to do the lighting while I'm doing this? Most of the wiring seems to be underneath everything. I was considering doing it when I remove the jackpot so I can take off the whole upper panel that's stapled to the board.

I would tackle the lights as you go and have access.

Section A has been fully disassembled and I have some light bulbs I can try. Trickiest part was pulling the staples without damaging the plastic too much.

Just have to clean the last panel and I should be okay to put it back together and start on section B.

I'm trying to get the lights set up, but only one comes on (low ball indicator I believe). None of the wires or sockets appear to be damaged, and messing with the switches didn't appear to do anything. Could the switches be bad?

I'm using a 9v battery for the power source, and both types of bulbs I got work in the socket that has power.

Agreed, the yellow terminal is usually for the remote 'out of balls' signal.

Yeah sorry I'm dumb. I had tried the red terminal before but didn't fiddle with the wire enough. Both switches function as well, illuminating the empty ball tray and jackpot lights. I have the right bulbs coming in the mail, and once they arrive I can make the final push and finish the machine.

I've done it. My first pachinko machine now begins it's new life. I haven't really done anything like this before, so I'm proud of it.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to help me out, I really learned a lot. I know some of you have seen this all before, probably dozens of times, so I'm grateful you all humored this peasant.

Here's to (hopefully) two more successful restorations.

    Pachi on my friends.

    P.S. - Video coming soon
