    Default Newbie Help

Hello all. I need help. I own two Pachinko's from the 60's I think. I need A: how do I tell what I have and what year it was made. Second, How do I get them working again. They are dirty, but still seem to work except when it comes to payouts. That part doesnt seem to work. If someone could please help me.

If after reading those threads you still need some help. Post some pics of the machine (s) in question of the front and back of the unit so we can see what we're dealing with.

how do I see the year on the tags? I cannot see any type of number, only Japanese writing.

Also I cannot seem to get the payout part to work.

I can submit pics if you tell me how?

Wait a minute! I'm still trying to figure out why LD gets an hourly rate while the rest of us mods are salaried? Hmmm.... ???

Slotter - I believe that Tulsa vaguely answered that question in the "Just Bragging" thread a minute ago.....something about being an evil tyrant in a high position (my interpretation).

Yes, but sub-contractors get per-diem. Can you afford it?

Well, as far as putting a date on them, check those three colored stickers on the bottom right of the playfield.

Use the info in this thread to decipher them:

If the machines aren't paying out, the problem almost always occurs in that clear plastic covered center feed area below the hopper. Take that apart and thoroughly clean it and make sure all the mechanisms inside are operable -- drop balls through to test.

On the Nishijin, it looks like the balls are backed up in the area marked by the red arrow.

Try working the levers shown by the green arrow to get them free.

I have this happen to my Nishijin every once in a while.
A SLIGHT bit of lubrication on the pivot points of those levers might help, once you get it cleared.

    Hope it helps.

Ok I will try the levers first. If that doesnt work, then I guess I will carefully take it apart. I just hope I can put it all back together again. lol

On the sticker, how do I see the numbers? I can clearly see the labels, but it looks like it is all Japanese letters and no numbers.

Thanks again for all this help.

I don't think you need any numbers. Just colors:
