Default Sanyo Comet II - new to this

hi everyone! I recently obtained a Sanyo Comet II that I used to play with at my aunt's house when I was a little. She's selling the house of 40 yrs and I asked if I could take it off her hands i'm thinking it has all the parts. it works but I have to move the ball release on the back so that I can push the lever & make the ball go. I can't figure out how to make things move. I was wondering if there was a different manual or a color version or bigger print for my machine. I've downloaded the manual on this site & that's the 1 I had already found. it's somewhat helpful but it's black & white & kind of hard to see. I do not know what year it is. I've attached a few pictures. also, I was wondering what size fuse it takes. I really want to get this thing up & running but really have no idea where to begin. I just wanted to say hi, this is my 1st & only machine. I don't think I've ever seen another 1. i'd really like to restore it I guess. it's in great shape. I don't care about how much it's worth. it's part of my childhood which makes it priceless to me. all I know is what I read in the manual & that seems to just be the basics. i'm going to read thru the rest of the threads to try to educate myself. any help, guidance, advice, etc would be GREATLY appreciated!! thanks!!

sounds like you might need more pachinko balls.. it will take 200 or so to make the machine work as originally intended.. and it will hold 1000 balls total..

take a look at this.. its not the exact machine you have but the layout and concepts are the same..

    and of course

    Hello and welcome. Nice machine.

That wire needs to be on the other side of the white plastic piece. That will load the next ball when you pull down the flipper handle. Also the wire above looks to be on the wrong side as well.

thanks! the wire won't move that far over. what type of lubricant do you recommend or should i loose the bolt, move it over, then tighten?

No lube required. Loosen the nut or screw, pull flipper down and set the wire so the plastic loader will load ball into track. With flipper handle up the wire should sit top right and just off the loader. The wire should travel along the plastic loader but not pass the end on full flipper pull.

Looks like you'll need a lower ball track cover as well.

    or bend it a bit..

i have tryed to loose that nut a few times and broken it off twice.. i say bend it..

also in the same pic above the overflow is on the wring side of that same white plastic piece..

    in short

the one you are asking about needs to be on the right side and the other one needs to be on the right side as welll..

I have a Comet II...I can take a pic of mine if you like. I'm at work, get off at 6 am, then need to sleep. Then I'll do it.

There are pachinko balls jammed in the jackpot area, those need to be cleared out. Move the paper clip and the long jackpot lever up and down to release them.

The lights are not needed to use your machine, the fuse is missing if you are trying to get the lights to work.

Tried to log onto pachi talk on my laptop...wouldn't load. Back at work on the cellphone, works fine. I'll try again tomorrow.

Here is what I got. 2050-12-31 23.59.59-473.jpg2050-12-31 23.59.59-474.jpg Here is where it should be at rest. 2050-12-31 23.59.59-476.jpg2050-12-31 23.59.59-477.jpg This is how it moves the lever that loads the ball to the shooter. 2050-12-31 23.59.59-478.jpg The wire attached to the white plastic is a winning ball overflow cutout. When your top tray (on front) is full, the balls overflow into the bottom tray. they also strike a different bell, giving a different tone. When the bottom tray is too full, to prevent malfunctions, a pressure plate presses the top rusty wire. This moves the white plastic part with the lower rusty wire. 2050-12-31 23.59.59-480.jpg Moving the ball loader out of the way of the flipper wire. This prevents balls from loading no matter how many times you flip the shooter. If you can't shoot any more balls, you can't hit anymore jackpots...preventing overflows or malfunctions.
    Hope this helps!
