    Default Heiwa Amtex cell compatibility?

Hey everyone, so since the trial run with From Japan went relatively well, I’m next eyeing one of those “Tokio” themed hanemonos, I’ve been looking for forever, Tokio Premium to be specific, since its got a LCD background and appears to be compatible with another really cool machine CR Tropical raised feathers (?) that neat digi/hane bikini girl machine. I can only assume they are cell swappable as the frame looks exactly alike...however is there a site with a compatibility chart or does anyone know first hand? I heard from Clam that Amtex used to have 2 different frames that looked alike from the front a few years back like my 2012 Hoo Mini Assistant. I don’t want to get myself in a situation where I can’t use a cell obviously... or get another cell with weird beeping issues. 🙄😂Any ideas? Can I swap a Tokio Premium cell in a Tropical Raised feather machine or visa versa? 🤔

Its also worth pointing out that the Sanyo frames although looked identical can't be swapped and changes. The sea story in the med, can't be swapped with SS in Okinawa or the SS pirate one, If it was in a green frame it will not work in the blue or yellow frame

as for this Heiwa. Sorry can't help. You can be the guinea pig and feed back the info

But a few years ago Chumsize put the early Amtex tokio tower into an Heiwa frame, or was it a Heiwa cel in the Amtex frame

Well, I’ll be the guinea pig, fingers crossed 🤞 I just won a Tropical raised feathers machine that hasn’t been modified for cyclical operation like every Tokio tower machine I saw for sale; and a Tokio Premium cell. 😀 I’ll provide an update when they arrive! Hopefully the pachinko gods smile upon me! 🙏

I never got a tokio tower one to try out... the ones I was able to swap were earlier amtex ones (tuna baba, hoo-kun) and some heiwa ones (weather girls??)

Interested to see how it goes for you.

Good to know! I’ve been there a couple times, had a nice winning streak last visit!😁 Guess I shoulda saved a bunch of shipping $$ and just drove 3 hrs to Wilmington for a weekend getaway and just buy that machine then import the additional cells for that frame! Doh!

I’m happy to report both cells are interchangeable in this frame! 😀 Just arrived them today, arrived in good condition except for the right side of the animatronic “arms” or whatever isn’t moving around like the other on the Tropical raised machine🤔 I’ll make a separate thread about that! Tokio Premium is awesome!

Good to know. I have a Hyakka Ryōran Samurai Girls in a similar frame.
Have fun with your new machines.

    Default Heiwa Amtex cell compatibility?

Ugh, I may have spoken too soon, because now I’ve had more time to play both cells I noticed Tokio Premium isn’t paying out... I could have sworn it worked the first day I got them, but honestly only played Tokio 5 mins or so, so maybe I didn’t notice? I can’t even get my Daverob dongle to dispense balls; it will give credits, but a tiny LED flashes indicating its trying to dispense balls but nada. ☹️However everything works fine in the other cell Tropical raised; so it isn’t the payout motor or the frame itself at fault. I can still play it just fine, no errors on the cell or frame, besides 4 lit red LEDS at the top of the back of the frame. Already tried resetting the cell, resetting the frame, trying multiple dongles. Swapped the cells multiple times with same outcome. Checking all the connectors that are easily accessible. So bottom line I’ve got a cell that’s fun to play, but requires constant feeding of balls manually to the front tray as if it’s a non-CR machine like one of my 90s hanemonos. Not to mention it’s hard to tell how good or terrible I’m playing! So annoying! 🙄

I’m guessing one of these scenarios is the cause:

    1. Some sort of frame compatibility issue? Perhaps there’s 2 or more identical versions of this frame? Seems odd that everything besides payouts work though?🤔

    2. Unknown mystery defect with this particular cell. 😬

    3. Maybe the cell was hacked/modified somehow to be used in a cyclitic machine? Therefore no payouts? All the Tokio Premium machines I could find had cyclitic modifications, which is why I bought just a cell that was supposedly “non-processed” aka stock.

Ironically, when I ordered these two, this was my “dream pachinko” however Tropical Raised feathers is getting a lot more gameplay and I actually prefer it! There’s a lot going on to keep you playing! Still haven’t hit a fever though because keep getting shafted by the hanemono/kenrimono like features, that spinning disk in the center or the “SP” spinning wheel surrounded by the pink dolphins. If anyone has any other ideas I’m all ears!

I wouldn't think the cel would stop the frame from paying out from using a daverob dongle. Did it all work ok after you swapped back again?

Yep, no issues with payouts or dispensing balls via the dongle with Tropical Raised cell in, only happens when swapping in Tokio. Everything goes back to normal as soon as Tropical Raised is put back.🤔

The Tokio one isn't a cash version, is it?

After a little research, I see it isn't. However, I wonder if the fact it's CRA and the other is just CR is a problem?

If you go to this page, and select 'game flow', it shows how it's played. Looks interesting!

I could be wrong、 and my wife tells me I normally am. I though Heiwa used the CRA prefix to indicate their light machines.

Yep, Compirate turns out Tokio is a CRA and Tropical Raised is a CR 😐could be an issue. I’ll have to ask Leo at Pachinko world if those drum machines in this frame CR or CRA and maybe try swapping a cell to try it out if they happen to be CRA.
