Default Cyclic modded Evangelion 4 - Mystery toggle switch!

So I've got an Eva 4 that's been modded to be cyclic. In addition to the standard volume pots etc, the modder added two toggle switches. The first one was easy enough to figure out: flip the switch and you get endless spins, effectively making it self playing. But the second switch, I have no idea! Doesn't appear to do anything obvious.. any idea what a pair of toggles like this is usually used for? Anything I can check to help figure it out? Something to do with payout, maybe?

The mod work appears to be clean, and they even went so far as to wire in LEDs to the endless spin switch so you can easily see when it's active.

Photo of the toggles and the purple & green wiring leading from the second mystery toggle attached.

sometimes a second switch is added that only functions during fever. it connects to the cels trapdoor power and gives impulses to the trapdoor ball sensor when opened.

reason. speed through the fever quickly otherwise the machine will be constantly waiting for balls and timing out on each round.

Oohh, interesting, thank you! Is there a way to physically tell that is happening, or will I need to dig in behind the cell with a multimeter to verify it?

Ah, there's an additional LED wired inline with the second toggle.. now to wait for a fever and see if it fires up!

    (that didn't take long)

Fever hits, and with the second toggle activated, the trapdoor opens and closes and LED behind the switch lights up with each pulse. Flip toggle to off, and trapdoor no longer moves.

    Thank you!

(now to figure out if I want to convert this back to normal play to leave it as is)

As long as the wiring wasn't cut to badly. It is possible to do it. Although some of mine required a full cel strip down for access.

Converting the frame require cutting and gluing plastic back in. And must be smooth so balls run freely.
