Talking The King has arrived on his Camel...

    My K.C. just got here!

    Its very cool looking.

Ive got to go play it before the little woman goes to bed.
She gets up at 3 am & will start having a camel soon if I play too long!

Mine is sitting in Oklahoma City right now. Too bad UPS won't deliver on Saturdays. Maybe I could just send David over to get it?

Maybe his wife whuped up on him so bad he can't type?

Gonna have to forget about sending David to get it. He's at the lake this weekend having fun with his family. Like that's more important than my KC!

Good grief, how dare David put his family and fun above your KC?

Default King Camel at The Feemont Experience Las Vegas

I am just back from Las Vegas and we stayed downtown and hit the Freemont Experience for 2 nights. A vendor that was selling gambling supplies happened to have one pachislo setup and it was King Camel! We proceeded to give it a good try out and I have to say that it is indeed a fun pachislo to play !

Now that you've played one are you going to put it on your "get list," azlew?

    Hey Lew,

We would love to have a trip report from you when you have time. Just start a new thread and tell us about the new machines and casinos.

    Where did you stay downtown?
Did you have any nice wins?
    How was Wynn's?
    See any good shows?
    Any tips?
    Photos?

The King Camel was at home waiting on me when I got home from work yesterday. Cool, I love toys delivered, better than pizza.

    Initial reaction - Shock!

The box has some holes and there's tokens falling out! Oh no, I knew not but buy from these people! So, I drag my wounded friend into the house to inspect what I imagine is going to be pretty nasty.

To my surprise, it's not in that bad of shape. The token bag broke and they didn't wrap the camel in plastic but it arrived quickly enough and it's okay. The belly glass has some scratches and I will probably go in search of a new piece of plexiglas for it but otherwise it appears to be fine. It is dirty though, not the dirtiest I've received and more dirty outside than inside which is surprising. This is an easy fix and it's cleaning up nicely.

A quick rub-down and 15 minutes retrieving tokens from every conceivable spot inside that box and I'm ready to play.

WOW! Is this puppy loud! Internal volume controls no effect, must add pots, must add them quickly! No effect on the top two speakers. These things are shrill! Wake the dead kind of shrill. I read others posts that the top two speakers didn't need adjustments just the bottom. The bottom adjusted out fine, but those two on the top are killers. I've never put cotton balls and volume controls on the same speakers before but I'm certainly considering it on this one.

At idle like all Sammy's, the attract mode is lame at best and pointless at worst. Take a lesson from NET or IGT, Sammy and make the lights dance a bit. The reels are lit by the overhead lamp and the LCD has a little display going on, but that's it. Very basic and boring.

Now onto the game play and granted, I've not had a lot of time to put into this just yet. My initial gut is this is as fun as people have described. Being a type C and my first type C. I put this on setting 4 to give up it's secrets but not too quickly. As a type C it's closest to what we've come to expect from a Vegas style machine. No big payout, but a lot of little ones. So far I've only had to load the initial 50 tokens and played for an hour on those. It just keeps giving me tokens in small bits. Not having to load it all the time is nice from the Type A's that I'm used to in pachislos.

The nudge feature is classic vegas only better. They don't just pop a spot or two as has been described before, but they'll just this way or that forward or back sometimes a spot or two and sometimes the reels will just spin backwards waiting for you to stop them. Nice feature and ads a lot to the enjoyment of the game.

I can't say I'm sure about the top reel yet, they spin with every spin of the regular reels. The significance of them so far?? I'll have to play it more or go and do some reading on the Pachinko museum site.

It wasn't the best packaging from 5 star, but my Golden Treasure arrived from them in clean like new condition,

It actually was the cleanest machine I've ever gotten, maybe they are a little hit and miss with their machines.

My tokens were packaged very good also.

Sorry for the packing problems, Tulsa, but I think the playability has already overcome that problem.

Looking forward to more reports from you on it.

Glad the machine came through OK Tulsa. Well it sounds like your King Camel is just like mine. Very loud and the switch doesn't seem to affect it. I put three of the switches from Vince in mine and now it is very adjustable, and enjoyable. I tell you the longer you play it the more things you will find out it will do. I have been playing mine two weeks solid now and it still does some different things. It is number 1 in my books. Enjoy!!

Talking Re: The King has arrived on his Camel...

Im enjoying mine also. In fact, I havent even turned on any of the others since the KING arrived.

The 1st thing I did was disconnect the bottom speaker. I was afraid the sonic waves would ruin my chances of ever having kids! Then again the vibration sort of added to the excitement!

I know this is old info to most, but who has the best volume options @ the best price? Do you have to put a control on each speaker?

The ones that Auto slot sells work great & yes you need one on each speaker.

Look at the vendor links here on this forum Tony. Have you not heard of Vince or AutoSlot? He has quite a number of posts.
