It's in the title, but has anyone found something store bought that works really well as a stand. Something readily available from Target, Walmart etc. Ideally, I need something to accommodate 2 machines side by side. So I guess it would need to be fairly sturdy.

Well, I discovered an old thread on here about an Ikea unit being used as a stand, the product mentioned in the thread isn't available anymore. However, they offer this:
    https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/p...814/#/60275812
Which is very similar but you would need to purchase 2 to equate what was mentioned in that old thread. Although, it is still cheaper buying two of these than that old item was.

If you are talking about the Expedit series, Ikea replaced that series 4 years ago with the Kallax line..The inside cube dimensions are the same, but they made the outside walls of the shelves a tiny bit thinner to save an Insane amount of wood every year.. Anyway, they make the new ones in all the configurations as the old ones so you can get the 2x4 it will just be about 3/4" shorter when on its side!!

I saw that one too, the only problem for me was the shipping. It was $199. For some reason they consider that other model a small item, so it’s $9 for shipping even if you get more than one.

I use work benches, go to sears outlet stores, or harbor fright or similar, I like to stand sometimes and play, or I sit on bar stools
