    Default Daiwa single shot

Happy to say I should be getting this machine soon.
I am guessing 1964. Never played a single shot machine before, but I am most impressed by the fancy cabinet.

What is that little ball filled window just above the shooter for?

early single shot machine had that tube for the rear instance when two balls enter a payout at the time time.. its like a bank..

its been a while since i messed with a single shot.. seems like some machine have a push button to them put that ball into the jackpot sequence for payment.. i also have a memory of other machines giving you that ball back to be shot again. (no jackpot paid) that option sux cause i would rather have the jackpot..

Some machines have a lever or button. This typically uses an "elevator" to lift the ball from the window to just in front of the seesaw, activating a payout. Other machines need to be activated by a parlor attendant from the rear. I have a Ginza that has a window with no way in or out...like for decoration only. More likely, an option that wasn't taken. Please post more pics when it arrives!

Will do, I'll post some pics and details when it arrives. I wasn't go to go for it at first, but I liked the idea of having one machine without the rebound rubber (that Allwin-style rotation,) and the gorgeous trim pattern seemed really unique to me.

The trim (accurately described) looks like "trim" pieces added onto the machine, rather than a cabinet that the trim was incorporated into. Still looks good...as long as it wasn't added in a way to be permanent.
i like older single shot machines...and the cell on this one is fancier than most monochrome cells of the era!

oh I get that it is not factory, but I actually love the folksy feel of this trim that was added. It looks to be about the same age wood as the cabinet, and I love the thought of a parlor owner trying to add some creative flair to the machine

You had called it a "fancy cabinet". I was merely pointing out that it appears to be trim added to the machine, as opposed to a cabinet with fancy trim. I think it looks nice.
