Here is a shot with the ball stuck and the middle tulip arm above the mechanics arm. The front of the pachinko is coming along and I'm ready to install the back (if I can figure this out).IMG_5227.jpgIMG_5228.jpg

I think I may have mispoke. The upper center tulip will open the right and left but not close them. The right and left will stay open until a ball falls through them. When I get home tonight, I'll record a short video to show you how they should work and we can go from there. I had to bend the tulip pins down a bit to get the mechanical arm to go all the way down and stop blocking the balls.

Thanks, that confirms how I thought it should work. I just need to get the tulip pins in shape so the middle tulip will drop the ball and open the left and right.

All my machines like yours act this way: ball in left or right tulip opens that tulip and center lower tulip. Closing center lower tulip has no effect on any other tulip. Ideally, the player would want to hit a left or right tulip, then close the center lower tulip first. Closing the left or right tulip would then open the center lower tulip again. This strategy would maximize scoring.

Never mind, I had it wrong. A ball in the center tulip doesn't open the left and right tulips. A ball in the center feature (that drops in the hole where the screwdriver is) lowers the linkage (where my finger is) and opens the left and right tulip. I'm dumb. IMG_5229.jpg

Haha, nice. I had to take mine apart twice to figure this out. It's a pretty cool mechanism.
