    Default Bulk Ordering

Any recommendations of distributors that can accommodate frequent orders of 20-120 Pachinko Machines? Having a diverse selection on-hand never hurts either 😁. Feel free to PM.

I found a distributor in Japan and I'm about to do a trial run. If the result is favorable, I'll share details should others be interested

What's are the options state-side? I'm buying in bulk to reduce the unit and shipping cost to reasonable prices, as I'm working through the legalities and business model on opening a parlor that doesn't upset or compete with local casinos. In the worst case scenario, folks here will benefit with a flood of machine sales

Theme is everything. Especially when it comes to players, repeat business and future selling on. There are some really great fun machines out there. But as the theme is unknown in the western world. Chances of getting a sensible resell value is low. Of course you have the anime, j-pop and marvel themed machines as well as things like Lady GaGa.

Hello my fellow Michigander and welcome to the group

I have often wondered about how our state looks upon public pachinko machine use. I'd be very interested in your results. Please keep us posted on your working towards a parlor and bulk purchasing. There is a growing number of us here in the upper midwest.

Hey there! Thank you for the warm welcome. My apologies incredibly late reply.

From consulting w/ local attorney's nobody really cares about Pachinko. However, if you choose to have cash redemption- go get a gaming licensing and the force the issue. non-cash prize redemption model is just fine by me

That said- I have a such a long road in front of me..

I've spent probably about 100hrs searching and emailing shops (in Japanese), I hired someone to then call these shops and find out who's willing to ship to the US and if there's bulk rates available. What I've learned is these shops don't care how much money you want to spend (my experience), the extra paperwork to ship something is not something most are willing to entertain. I have a few contenders, but if anyone is willing to throw a known entity my way that's cool w/ bulk purchases that would be eternally appreciated.

Ok, so machine sourcing is one problem. To get a feel for the business model, I went to Vegas two weeks ago. I went to *every* Red Dragon. It's pretty interesting, here's a couple observations:

    • Employees not sure what Pachinko is or how to maintain the room. “It just appeared one day”. Most machines needed a bit of assistance and it was fun educating the staff.
    • 5 bucks for an hour.
    • I was the only person in the room at every location
    • Each location had about 15-20 machines
    • Pachinko Balls are grungy
    • Underneath ball track system where the balls usually bounce off and onto the floor
    • That yellow Star Wars machine w/ the clear plastic playfield and spinning chance tray was broken at every location (they all ticked in whatever is on the upper left corner). Just thought it was odd that it was always that machine.
    • First time I saw 009 Cyber Solider and Kinnikuman (Anime origin of M.U.S.C.L.E figures from the 80’s). Also played Lupin – The Lost Scenes which was really cool.

Kudos to Red Dragon for making that experience possible, but there's a bit of fit and finish that could be put on the experience overall. I'm going to Japan in Dec specifically to play Pachinko (and super table flipper 2) for a week, will share a trip report then.

Next, designing a commercial ball system, NFC credit redemption system and cloud-powered battle counters for both the machines and the establishment w/ a leaderboard. But- those are problems I'm skilled at solving

The rest of my time has been spent building cabinets and 3d printing prototype ball systems. I've attached a handful of related pics of Red Dragon and my standalone Cabinet (scrapping the design in favor of a traditional parlor/grocery isle approach).

Net-net: I own 10 Pachinko machines, 7 Pachislots and will get another 100 over the next 6 months (assuming I sort out my sourcing issues). What the heck did I get myself into?

In regards to the Battle of Vader Star Wars machine “clicking” they all do that, it’s one of the built in features of the game! 😂 Pretty annoying, I never leave mine on unless I’m playing it due to this. All the more reason to buy additional cells for that frame! 😀

If you are lucky, you can turn them off. Mine is nice & silent I still worry about the center spinner crapping out any day now, but been lucky so far...amazing game to play though.

But Leo from Pachinko World said it best,
"He thought it was odd that these came over to US so fast." And that is because they kept dying on the floors in Japan. They couldn't wait to get rid of them. Leo wouldn't take one if you paid HIM for his gaming area! Not surprised that they were all broken in Vegas.

Clam is also VERY correct. You need to buy Western themed machines. Back when they could still legally sell pachislo slots in FL, distributers were unable to move the more obscure models. If it didn't have english on it, people (most) wouldn't play them & certainly didn't want them in their home. I know some Pachinko parlors (US side) carry the gamut, but the majority stick with known themes. They actually adopted the practice of adding US themed IPs inside the belly glass and top parts of other machines to create a wider appeal and move units that otherwise sat. It was weird sometimes playing a "Sopranos" machine with farmer themed reels...

Anyway, YOU definitely want to consider this if opening one up here. I will get groans from long-term members who love some of the Japanese themes & I can totally vibe with that (although I don't share it). Sometimes it is fun and 'quirky' for certain people to not understand anything and try to figure it out while playing...however those are the non-majority. You need to appeal to the average Joe who may dump $500 into an Avengers game but won't look twice at an obscure anime.

Yikes, didn’t know I was sitting on a ticking time bomb! I played Leo’s Battle of Vader at his parlor before I bought mine; no issues at the time. What part fails on them exactly? The “clickers”? How’d you turn yours off?

I am about to hit the hay, but if you search my posts you will see one under Pachinko Mods about it. They clickers were removed completely. Just the center turn table remains. (Grinding noisily).

When you go to Japan, share a list of machines available, you might get some pre-orders from members

    😱 Removed?! Sacrilege!

Lol, if you think Battle of Vader has a noisy rotating center feature; you’ve never heard an early 90s Sankyo hanemono with one...haha! My animal land “Hungry hippos” is louder but they are quite durable evidently to work flawlessly over two decades later with virtually no maintenance. 🙂
