    Default Hello from West-central Texas

Hi there! I'm brand new to pachinko. A few years back, my father's patrol partner (of 30 years) from the police force passed away and left my family his estate. I've been managing his property for my parents who are now in their late 70s. I was digging through a storage shed recently and found a pachinko game that he had brought back from his time in the navy. My father had remembered playing the game long ago and had asked me if I ever seen it. Long story short, it is in rough shape but has some sentimental value to it and I brought it home to get it working again as a gift to my father. I've done as much research as I can and I'm pretty sure it's a 1970 shinjin model A.

The front overflow tray (the uppermost tray that feeds the firing mechanism?) has broken off, and that looks to be the one of the bigger components that will need to be replaced other than the playing field art. I work with a guy that is redoing his own, so luckily I have one person to rely on through the process, but I'm sure I'll be here resesrching and asking a lot of dumb questions so I dont annoy him too much.

I look forward to learning from the wealth of knowledge here in the forums!

It's in about 20 different pieces ok n my living room floor at present. I've got the playfield artwork on order at a print shop and still looking for a new front overflow tray... things are clicking along so far. Pics will be in a week or so I hope.
