    Default All 15 masamura

I got a pachinko machine and I can’t for the life of me find out how much it’s worth or anything in general. I know it’s an ALL-15 Masamura early 1950.

Welcome to pachitalk! Value is tough to nail down. A lot has to do with location. California, for example, has many more machines a valuable than somewhere like Canada. This makes machines cheaper in California than Canada. That being said...the early single shot machines are harder to find everywhere. That increases the value to a degree.
I really like the early machines, and if it wasn't a duplicate brand of one I already had...then I would be willing to pay $100 for something like that. I wouldn't pay $200, but that is just me. If it were on eBay...and 2 buyers got into a bidding war...then "the sky's the limit".

I’ve been told that this machine is easily in the $1000-2000 if not more. This machine is an early 1950 machine. The 1970’s machines, yeah $100-200 but this is much older and the maker is someone I can’t even find. This machine goes back to a point where not even the internet has been able to find information on it. I dare this as a unicorn, if anyone can find this machine then I will budge on that thought but the closest image I could find was an ALL-15 Masamura gauge which is worth a bunch.

I don’t get how mine is even a duplication of your Ginza or Comicgo machine. My machine has more age to it. I’d be bold to say it was a machine older than them prior to them trying to pretty them up with trimming and colorful stickers.

I remember SteveFury (member here) had a beautiful early 50's Masamura that he was selling, he had restored it himself

had a quick search and found the thread & video here:

    https://youtu.be/d8Ahr4eyN5Y

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...nball-for-sale

can't recall what it sold for, if it sold? but i doubt it would have been mega money, they may not be too many 1950's ones around but with pachinkos, that does not usually equate to monetary value, sadly.

For example, I have a really nice 1973 Fuji Mahjong Arrangeball, that appears to be one of a kind, circular matrix, no circuit boards - all old relays, I have NEVER seen another like it and arrangeballs are very sought after but it certainly wouldn't bring a fortune, couple of hundred £GBP if I was lucky, thankfully it will never be for sale in my lifetime

Of course value isn't relevant if you plan to keep it and enjoy it,

(I should add, If one of our more knowledgeable vintage members / restorers here has given the valuation / offer then I stand corrected of course!)

Also you may find this thread an interesting read, it's the evolution of the pachinko, going from 1946 onwards, includes references to Masamura's gauge and All 15 and lots of photos of machines, etc

The person who quoted me a price range only deals with the 1970 machines. I bought myself 2 machines for $50 each and the other is a newer ocean breeze machine but the older one I just cannot locate. I came here because I figured someone may have run across this machine. It has no labels or tags on it other than that stamp on the back. I know that it was used by soldiers in ww2 but that’s all I have background wise. I’m gonna keep it for now but I would love to know what exactly it is and it’s actual worth. I haven’t done any work on it like cleaning or maintenance for the reason it might be worth a lot

Do you have any evidence for that lineage? Ww2 ended before the 50s

it’s a beautiful machine and that vintage is by far my favorite but it’s pretty standard as well. In other words, no graphics on the cel and no reloading handle, for example. it’s definitely not worth 1000 much less 2000. these machines are rare but definitely not exceedingly so and show up regularly on yja. I have seen machines of this vintage in the 10 years or so I’ve been involved in pachinkos that did command high prices and they were either very rare models such as Hokuku half gauge machines or ones similar to yours that have been professionally restored to as new condition.

early single shots like this "wood framed" machine are not a common as 70's machine's.. and i have to say i understand your thought on its value (but i don't agree).. but its actual value is what someone is willing to pay.. 1000.00 bucks, wow.. 2000.00 is laughable.. like others, i have been into pachinko more years then i care to admit.. i have see one machine sell for 1000.00 or a bit more.. and it ended up being broken.. (powerflash machine)..

we see machines for sale for laughable amounts of monies.. they stay for sale for a while and then disappear. a few times someone shows up hear with the exact same machine asking questions.. again there worth what someone is willing to pay..

so in my 35 years of experience with pachinko i value it at 100.00 to 150.00... would i ask more, ya i would probably start at 200.00 but i would take the first real offer..

hang out hear for a while and you will find out what machines really sell for..

if ya can get more then what we are valuing at... good for ya.. it just proves the old saying.. "there is a sucker born every min"

    my 2 cents

As I look closer at the mechanics of this machine...I'm more impressed. Not $1000 impressed (feel free "groan" me again), but impressed none the less! The jackpot looks very much like Jeff's Union pachinko machine, with the dual "sprockets" to dispense the winning balls.

Thanks for all the feedback. I just assume that it’d go for more than a 1970 machine would and it sounds like it’s not worth that in most people’s opinion. Beyond the value though, I would still hope someone could tell me about this machine or it’s maker. It’s the background I actually came for, the pricing was a number I got from people who do antique roadshow but don’t specialize in machines this old.
