Default A little help needed: Nishijin Model B Jackpot

    Hello everybody!
I recently got my hands on a
    Nishijin Super DX Machine.
    20180803_2110222.jpg
As far as I can tell all the mechanical components are there, except for one important linkage in the jackpot assembly.

I want to remake the part by ether casting or 3D-printing it.
So this ist the part where I need the help of a fellow Nishijin model B owner.

If someone would be willing to measure this arm or take a hi-res photo of it lying on some engineering/millimeter paper I would be able to recreate it.

Of course I will publish the 3D files if I am able to make a working replacement part.

I would be very grateful for all the help I can get!

You'll also need to look at the base of the jackbot mechanism, the point where the shaft for that part mounts is broken on yours.

But you're probably not worried about that, as you have the part.

The post where the lever is screwed in is broken off, do you have that? Otherwise you need more than just that arm.

not an easy part to make.. there is allot going on there as it controles the filling and the dumping of the jackpot all on one movement.. getting a replacement jackpot will save you a ton of guess work

    and of course

    Thanks for pointing that out.
I'm currently fixing that post since it did not completely brake it's just a little touch up. Looks worse on that Picture than it actually is.

I know its not going to be easy. But that's half the fun in restoration projects, for me anyways...
    And Thanks for the welcome!

Talking Solution: A little help needed: Nishijin Model B Jackpot

So in the end it worked out perfectly!

Based on the images I found online I was able to estimate the size and shape.
Some trial and error was needed but here it is:

    Side view:
    side.jpg

I replaced the broken shaft with a threaded 4 mm bolt and secured everything with nuts.
Double nut jam on the end to give the part room for movement.

While I was printing parts I also printed the lower track cover found in this thread:

Post that model up to thingiverse. I've had my 3D printer about 3 weeks now, I'm still figuring out the modeling programs. But I hope to have some parts modeled at some point, I have a pocket that's looking a bit rough after a failed repair attempt I need to replace.

Yes it took some re-printing. It was the fourth iteration that worked. So all in all it took three days, because I only printed one version a day at first and then took my time to redo the 3d model.
