    Default Rubber bumper ball stop

In the top right hand corner of my Power Flash Thunderbird machine the rubber bumper/stop that the ball hits when it reaches the end-point point of the top arc appears to be dry and offers no "bounce" to the ball. Is it supposed to?

Thus the ball seems to always drop right below that rubber stop no matter how forceful or easy I launch the ball. What happens is that the ball never winds up bouncing back over to the top left side of the playing field, only on the right and only right below that rubber piece. That can't be correct.

Is that rubber piece replaceable from any source? Or does one have to fabricate something on their own? Also, what is it correctly called? (I try and avoid using words like "thingy")
    Thanks

I believe a couple members offer them for sale. 3d printed. I use an eraser when a replacement is needed.

The idea actually is to not shoot it hard enough to hit that stop. Older games don't even have that stop so the ball continues around and comes out the bottom.

I just used Tink’s eraser idea as it is back to school and they are on sale... it took me a couple tries as I kept cutting crooked, but it works. But as mopar says, I try to aim for the center and not hit the bumper.

I found these erasers at my local rite aid yesterday and they appear to be able to a nice fit, and are pre-formed tear drop shape. Just an idea if you find them, as they look easier to shape than the rectangle ones. They are too wide though.
