Default New to Pachinko - Hello from Phoenix

    Hello,

Ive been looking into getting a pachinko machine for a while now, and I am going to look at a Nishijin Top Performance (?) machine this weekend. I've also been looking at a few vintage machines, a Super Deluxe and a Comet II... but from the info I've been able to gather, prices in my area seem to be very steep, so thought this would be a good community to join for guidance and support.

Well I do six months in Apache Junction and have got some good buys. Condition is imperative if you have not worked on these machines before. It is nice to start with a working machine. You need a lot of pachinko balls. No rusted ones. Good luck.

Thanks Teddy, I've noticed that. I bought a big pack of balls off ebay, so hopefully its enough... considering i think my first machine is going to be the Top Performance (Future Trend? I'm still not sure what this model is called). I was trying to get a vintage machine that came with balls already, but the seller hasn't responded, so ill keep looking.

So... i get about halfway across town, and the guy calls me and says its missing/probably stolen, since he keeps his garage door open all the time...

Hopefully someone else will respond to their ad.

It is better to get fresh new balls like you did off eBay. The balls you get with machines, in general, are not usable. I sorted mine into total crud (pitted, rusty) vs usable (no visible pits or rust) for now and cleaned the latter in CLR. I use them as my test balls until the machines are pristine then they get the nice clean new balls.
