    Default Kyoraku machine reset help.

    Hello,
I am new and have an issue with a machine I purchased years ago. As far as I can tell it is a Kyoraku: Hissatsu Shigotonin III. It had what looked like a reset switched attached to the back and only seems to work when that is plugged in, although it seems to be in a demo mode.
I am looking to get this back up and running so we can use it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

That looks like an autoplay unit. It gets wired to the start pocket sensor.

    Does your machine actually work?
I.e. if you drop a ball into the start pocket. Do the reels spin? Do you get a payout?

Hello hok09, no apologies necessary, we'll help you as best we can.

The reels are the three symbols that randomly change in the center of your screen. Matching three of these will lead you onto a possible fever or jackpot round. The start pocket is the tulip looking item just below the screen where you get a ball in and causing the reels spin, like on a slot machine. So when a ball goes in there do the reels spin and do you also get something like three balls won from the game?

Your small remotely wired control device may override some functions of the machine when enabled. I'm not sure on the settings of this device but you may be able to remove it and restore the original settings. Can you post some up close pictures of the back as in upper and lower half? This might give us a better idea of what you have going on there.

Also on some machines there is a separate reset button for the frame and the cell so pics might help here as well. Something to get you started with in a resolution hopefully.

Ok, I got it to work last night with random playing with the external switch. It does seem to have issues feeding balls through. Is there a way to clean that area or oil or something? It works if I shake it a little bit.

Re-check the paths where the balls flow starting at the top tracks by the rewards hopper. You should be able to remove the ball payout mechanism to inspect and clean it. Balls can be slowed and stopped by the smallest piece of debris or gunk built up over time. Take pictures of anything you take apart for easier re-assembling later.
