Default New user-Intro and Question about BELLRUSH

    Hello all!

New user here, but have had Pinball's and a Multi-arcade machine for years.
Always wanted to add a "Slot-Style" machine to the game room, and finally did.

Picked up a non-working BELLRUSH at a great price (FREE!) and brought it home. Went through it all, cleaned it up, and it seems I got everything working except for one thing...
When you hit what I assume is the Jackpot, 3 Bells in a row, I immediately get an F33 error in the "CHANCE" field:

Slot2.jpg Slot1.jpg (Sorry, second image went sideways on me)

When it does this, the machine locks up and must be reset to play again.
Documentation on this game seems to be non-existent, and what generic info I can find never mentions this code.
Hopper is full, other payouts work fine.

Hoping someone here knows this game and knows what causes this.

Hello johnnycruzr and welcome to the group

Sorry I'm not familiar with your error code. Perhaps disconnect and re-seat each wire connection which might reveal a loose or broken wire. This is often a good first step along with the full reset.

    Nice game room setup

Did it come with tokens? cause it's a 30 pai machine (larger than normal token)

    Name in Japanese - ベルラッシュR-30

Other payouts (lesser ones) do pay out from the hopper?

Give us a pic of the power supply, some switches on there might be set wrong.

    Thank you!

I almost completely disassembled and check this thing out as I was cleaning it, as it was in pretty bad shape.
I have checked and rechecked all the connectors to ensure tightness and all looks good.

Yes, it came with about 400 Tokens, here's a pic:

Token.jpg They work perfectly in the acceptor and the hopper, so they must be the correct size.

Yes, all other payouts work correctly.

Heres a pic of the power supply.

Power supply.jpg The upper switch is to the right, and the lower switch is to the left..

Everything I have been able to find says the position of these switches does not matter, but open to suggestions!

The power switch for some reason was removed, so machine just gets plugged in and un-plugged.

Why not keep things understandable by simply saying it was originally made to use 30 millimeter diameter tokens.

It is true that some say "30 pai" (30パイ) in Japan, but as I understand it, it's the result of someone not knowing the Greek alphabet.

    The English spelling is pi.
    What they're calling 30 pi is "30 Φ".
The Greek letter isn't pi it's phi.
People use phi in place of the diameter symbol because they don't have a font for it.
The original meaning was simply 30 diameter, they don't include the units (mm) because it's obvious to people in Japan.

"F33" is not an error code.
    Bellco uses two letter codes.

    http://www.big-slot.com/help/errorcode/#maker_error12

There isn't any payout for three bell rush symbols, you just get a chance for a Bell Rush.
Three bell rush symbols and F33 on the chance display is not a winning combination.
If you get Three bell rush symbols and FFF on the chance display the Bell Rush will start.

I would try putting the switch below where the power switch should be in the left position.
It shouldn't really affect this though since it's not the end of a bonus.

    Power ON/OFF
    電源 ON/OFF

    Fuse 10 Amp
    ヒューズ 10A

    Uchidome Without/With
    打ち止め 無/有

    Automatic Cashout Without/With
    自動精算 無/有

    RAM Clear
    RAMクリア

    Error Cancellation
    エラー解除

    Setting Key ON/OFF
    設定キー ON/OFF

The on/off switches are labeled ON and OFF. The switches that are labeled with and without in Japanese are done that way because in electrical terms the switches are on/on switches (both positions are on).

    Thanks pachi_sloter.......

That was some great information you posted and linked!

So....... I moved my upper switch on the Power Supply to the left, and played until I once again got the 3 "Bell Rush" symbols in a row, and it came up with "F33", but, like it had been doing, the whole machine just locked up, I couldn't do anything until I turn it off, and back on again.

It was great to see one actually working like in the Youtube link above...

Any Ideas what could be going on?
