The owl looking things came off a Sanyo... so besides digging the center tulip so bad it is horribly mangled, they added pieces from another manufacturer.
Is is worth saving this machine... just use for parts? I mean, come on...

Painting is fun though and since the top is already off, I might as well play with customization.

(Thanks for the tip re toothpicks!)

Has anyone done crazy spinners? Pink is just a bit blah... I tried to search but nothing came up.
Your pockets look quite good! As far as spinners, one idea I have floating around in my mind is to use decal paper to print custom spinner decorations. I have a baseball themed machine and I think the spinners might look good if they had baseball stitches on them. But I wouldn't want to try painting them on...

Many parts and pockets have been factory used on different mfg. I'm sure I've seen that on Nishigin too.

Agreed the pink spinners a bit blah.

Yea, if you look closely at the pic Tink posted above in the thread, you can map out that the screw/nail placement on the spinner face above the sumos would like up with where that jellyfish was placed...

I think the comments about the part being replaced are dead on.

Yes, so I am designating this machine as an all out “custom” so I made an audience for the sumo guys, I am changing the spinner design and will change the top flow as well. The whole thing will have to be painted including the chrome as it is bad... bummer, but then the kids can play on this one and beat it up. It will take a while, and so I switched over to another machine.
