Default New and first slot machine for the man cave.

I picked up this Double-Up slot machine at a local flea market. I bargained the seller down to $180, works great. Anyone else ever see this one or no what they typically go for? It looks to be an import because I see what I believe to be Japanese characters all over it.

It looks to be a Bellco Double Up pachislo from 1998.. Looks like it came in regular and big token versions..

for my area 180 is a right fair price for a machine like that.. i see tokens came with it.. that helps offset the cost.. I dont think it is rare or anything special (but im more of a pachinko kinda guy)..

Cool game! You should get 2 more and make a "bank" of them for the man cave! Thats more of a classic model. Search for early modern and modern. Its always cool to see progression. A pachinko also always makes for a good and unique addition to a mancave. "up-right pinball"

Don't mean to revive this but I had a couple of questions regarding this machine.

    1. It appears to use standard quarter-like tokens. Are there any subtle differences I need to watch for when buying more tokens. The ones I had had the word (LADYZ, LADY, or LADZ) on them, familiar?

    2. Anyone know what the replacement lock size on something like this would be, is it hard to swap out? Seems to be a simple latch mechanism you just unscrew and swap out.

    3. Is there a way to force the coins in the hopper to eject in the event I run out of coins to use?

The token differences shouldn't be a HUGE issue AFAIK. Most of them have their own design printed on them for protection and branding of the parlour they were to be used in. It'd stop me from taking a bunch of coins from Parlour A (Which only cashed you out at 70%) to Parlour B (Which cashed you out at 95%). When I had my Gamera HGV, I used a bag of mixed tokens from all sorts of places. These usually run on coin comparators as opposed to mechs. You might have to watch out for the metal content, but I doubt this would be a problem as it would be a pain setting up the machines in Japan if this was the case.

Not too sure about question 3, but in most cases, you'd be able to open the machine up and nick the coins out...Unless you've not got keys for it. If this is the case though, I doubt you'd be able to access a hopper dump menu if there was one.

Nick the coins out? No menus, it's not digital.
