I get a kick out of these old machines. I have friends who have some. All of mine are from 2001 and everybody talks the newer models nowadays. I wonder where all these old ones got off to? Surely people didn't buy them all and keep them. People DO get bored with stuff; especially single machine owners. But I never see them on eBay, at garage sales, etc.

Anybody know where they go? Pachislo heaven?

Two of 'em are in my "casino," the Wai Wai Pulsar and the King Jack.

Both are still played, just not as often.

That's cool Tony. How old are those models?

I was just wondering since we see 'vintage' pachinkos online all the time (i.e., eBay), but never a pachislo more than about 8 years old (ish).

The Wai Wai Pulsar is a 1993 OR 1996 model, I've seen it listed as both dates. Built like a tank and about as loud, not so much volume as solanoids clanking when you start and stop each reel. This machine does not have a max-bet button. To bet max you have to push the bet button three times. It's a little confusing to guests because the payout button is where the max-bet button is on all other machines. Music sounds like an early PC game music, even though there is a tune to it. Single voice.

    The Wai Wai Pulsar (Yamasa)

I have been completly unsuccessful in finding out anything at all about the King Jack. EVen the manufacturers label on the back is all in Japanese! :17:

It has to be a newer machine (my guess is aroung 1998 or so) since it does have a max-bet button and a small odds LED that will run through 1 through 9 to increases chances of a BB/RB. I don't recall every hitting a BB/RB without that LED going through its motions first.

    Here is the King Jack

If you happen to run across anything about the King Jack, please let me know!

    Tony,

That King Jack looks cool! You should see if you can get a good, clear photo of the label on the back. It took me a few days, but I translated all of the Japanese on my first machine so I could figure out what all the switches did and what all the labels meant. If you can provide a really clear photo of the label I might be able to see what I can do for a translation. In all that free time I have when I'm avoiding work (i.e., right now! lol)

The Pulsar sounds interesting. I only got into pachis a couple of years ago, so I've never even seen one like that. The betting sounds strange, but I think I'd like the click of the solenoids and such. it sounds like a blast.

Thanks for posting the info and pics. So far you are the only one with older machines. I'm wondering if they even made them before the '90's. I've never seen mention of one from the '80's or earlier.

    Here's one from 1990 I think.

I think I've read somewhere on PachiTalk about there being pachislos that are about 20 years old.

CMK, thank you for the offer to translate the label! I will certainly do that!

I tried once before, but couldn't get into a good position and the pics looked like doo-doo.

I'll get my nephew to help me turn it around next time he comes over. May be a few days.

MrG: I think I'll have to make a new thread about that and see what the oldest machine someone has is....

Tony: Just PM it to me whenever you get it. It'll take me a bit to work on, but we'll see what we can come up with.

    Hi all,

I'm new here and just acquired a Sammy Aladdin II it's mostly in Japanese so I'm not sure how old it is but I'm certain it's early 80's or so. It seems to work really well considering the fact that it was left for junk. I didn't do a whole lot to get it working besides making sure everything was clean and plugged in securely. I only have about a handful of tokens however and so I cannot play to easily. It needs a few basic things to be 100% some of the light bulb holders are broken and I need the bulbs for the payout table and belly light. I have had a hard time finding any info so I'm hoping that since nothing major is broken I will be able to restore it. I hope to get a few more in the future as I plan on turning the Garage into a game room. I'm off to a good start as I also have a Bally's T.V. Poker machine. It however is not currently in working order and it has been impossible to find ANY info on that. I know it's a bit off topic but if anyone knows anything about it or can direct me to some information I would be truly grateful!

    Chris,

I will have to get some pictures of it the inside and out of it to post. My main problem is where the boards are seated. There are 3 of them and I can't seem to get the middle on seated correctly. The other two are nice and snug but the middle one doesn't seem to fit tightly. I don't know if I can do anything or not about it and I have had no luck finding anywhere where I MIGHT find some parts if I ever have need. Anyhow thanks for your response and I will get those pics up shortly.

Parts for the older machines are harder and harder to get. I still have parts for S6000 video cabinets but nothing for anything older then that. eBay is one place to try, or another member here turned me on to this forum ( New Life Games Tech Forums ) . Newlifegames .net seems to be a great place for slot machine tech info and parts.
Lets start with taking some pictures and letting me know the model sn# and year built and well take it from there.
I'll do my best to help. I take non working Bally games personal.

Drdread,I have the same problem you had with aladdin II with ee showing, the noise etc. Did you manage to remedy it and if so could you post a guide or suggestions on how you did it? I am new to this and have posted elsewhere as well, but I have insufficient rights to look at the reset proceedures etc at this time. Any help at all would be appreciated. My PSU etc also does not look like anything I have seen so far on here, the red main power switch has a black one right next to it on the left and i dont know what it is for. The reser, key slot etc is at the top of the machine and not on the PSU.
