Talking I've done it again - 46 early modern machines

Some many years ago I purchased a lot of 60 vintage machines from another member here.

Well a few weeks ago I was contacted by a couple who had a lot of 46 early modern machines and decided why not.

So we went out and loaded them all up into a Uhaul trailer like we did before. (Pretty much mastered the system for transporting large amounts of machines now.)

These machines are not in the best of shape as they found them all in a house that was abandoned for the past 15 years or so. Which is unfortunate as I would have loved to know the story of how someone acquired all these machines out in the middle of nowhere. (Literally the middle of nowhere, had to drive on gravel roads for a few miles to get there.) Some have water damage and rot so they are for parts. There are a few which we believe are functional and will try to get working and post for sale in the coming months.

There was mainly 2 types of machines the Nishijin Frame and the Sankyo frame. Most were still covered with plastic bags and have new plexiglass (was new some years ago). I'll eventually be posting some more pictures of the machines. So if anyone needs parts for a certain machine please contact me. We can work something out.

Somehow there is about 5 Monroe machines in the lot, though only enough to probably build 3 good ones.

Also if anyone knows of a good source of 24V transformers for cheap please let me know.

    100 machines and counting...

No, I got pretty much everything he had. He didn't have very much retro stuff.

There is another PT member from Illinois that is fond of early modern Hanemono...

I like this supplier for 24V transformers. I think 2A is large enough, not really sure on that though.
Are there any transformers on your machines with a rating nameplate?

Even less expensive would be to use a 24V, 2A, DC, LED power supply from China.
I think it would work but have never tried one.
They are in the neighborhood of $5 on eBay. No cord. Includes shipping.

You read my mind sir. That is exactly what I thought when I sorted them out by frame types. Maybe it will happen some day....

OK, We found 18 more from a different guy and they were still mostly new in the box. They need some cleaning and verification but are in even better shape. Also found original manuals, there was a guy here in Greencastle, IN under Pachinko Amusements who was importing them. Usually, everyone was on the coasts doing this not so far inland. It's starting to explain why we are finding Hanemono machines around here so often. And now we really don't have any room in the garage.....
