    Default My Vendordom begins today.

Every great journey, begins with a single step.

    Or with a single container.

I guess it depends on the story.

Either way, I am looking to the Pachislo community to get some ideas on how I might be able to meet the needs of collectors. If I can please most of you, the rest of the population should be a snap.

Since I have never bought a unit directly from a retail vendor, I have a few questions. (so far all of my units I have purchased for my father and myself have been raw)

1: Paint. Are 'refurbished' cabinets normally painted, if so, anybody know what paint works best, or wht paint you would LIKE to see?

2: Packing. I have read some of the good, the bad, and ugly related to shipping. Does anybody have an example of very good packaging? I was leaning towards the expanding foam packing with heavy corrugated boxes.

Since my biggest hobby is decorating...and since you asked, I would like to see the cabinets done in one of the new chic faux finishes with some texturizing..or maybe a venetian plaster. Also, shipping them in a hand rubbed mahogany chest that could be re-purposed into something like a coffee table might be nice............ Just kidding, I'm sure you will get a lot of good ideas here..GOOD LUCK!!!

I can't help you, but I wish you the best! I will suggest you shrink wrap the machines before packing. That seems to help some.

Really like your screen name, BTW.

Hopefully PachisloUSA will reply. He is closing shop, but might be able to offer you some suggestions.

I know I have never been 100% happy with the paint jobs I have received. They are always Matte finish (which is fine), but knicks and holes aren't usually 100% filled and sanded as suggested.

as for paint it will differ rob from pachislousa has a nice shiny black paint, milt from stealth has a flat black paint, i personally prefer the flat dull black paint because after almost a year after having the latex paint from pachislo usa if i leave anything on top of the machine for more than 1 day it sticks to the paint (i.e. my signed mike vick helmet) as far as shipping i have only had 1 machine shipped from pachislousa he uses a liquid expanding foam and it protects the machine, i have picked up my 9 other machines from milt so i dont have to deal with shipping oh as far as custom slots go i would like to see like a faux fur or a shag carpet that covers the case of the machine on one of the disco themed machines.

I had pieces of plexiglass cut for the machines I put collectibles on. Only about $4 each.

This is where you take a lesson from pachinko_pallace and put the hard laminate on it. It makes for a killer case even if you lose the handles.

I would recomend using the 2 boxes method one smaller box around the machine with foam inserts, and foam or foam peanut bags around the smaller box and a heavy outer box. This still sometimes can't take what the shippers dish out, but in my opinion is a good method cause alot of times a hole gets put through the outer box. Also wrapping the machines is a good idea like Tonyjr said.

No one packs them better than Arby. Take it from someone who's received 3 machines from Mr. Coffee.

Use the finger rule, "If you can get a finger in it, stuff it with foam". SHOCK is the KILLER on Pachinko and Pachislo. Think Seat belts in cars.
