Default Sankyo Ball loader Mech Question.

Hi Guys LTNS. Im repairing a clients Sankyo and I think the ball loader mech is supposed to have a cover?

Does it have a cover and if so and would anyone have one to sell?

Balls keep jamming in the mech and I believe its due to a missing cover but as I said Im not sure if one is missing or not.

    Thanks Eddie

No cover, looks complete, where are the balls jamming?

The balls are jamming both where they enter the unit and once they enter along the long blue pivot track leading to the shooter.

It appears that there should be a cover as there is a place for 2 screws and the cover would keep the balls from doubling up in the track.

I don't have another Sankyo to compare it with.

Same Loader mech on a few different manufacturer's. Don't recall ever seeing a cover, the door panel should keep things in order when closed. Are the spacer washers under the tilt ramp?

I will have a closer look at a Sankyo this evening for you.

I just saw this mech on eBay not listed as A Sankyo but Newgin it looks almost identical but if you notice on the blue plastic where the balls enter there is a small shelf making a complete Box.
The unit I have does not have this shelf. I will have a look again as maby this shelf is what broke off and can allow balls to flow too fast through the unit causing the jam. s-l200.jpg

Ah, Yes, totally missed that in your pic. That will definately cause some issues as the ball fall out early.

Here is a pic from a Sankyo. Need that blue block bottom to keep the balls in a single row.20180418_222748-1.jpg

Last night I fabricated a floor and it now works fine. I will try to source a new piece as I hate hacks.97.jpg97a.jpg98.jpg99.jpg100.jpg103.jpg104.jpg106.jpg

1st pic is of original unit

2nd pic is of Photo of a Unit I found online.

3rd pic is of first prototype repair only it was just a bit short still causing occasional jams.

4th and the rest of the pics is of installing a correct shape and material pice and the resulting smooth flow of balls.

Tink thanks for the pic I just saw it now.

    eddie,

just my 2 cents but i think your piece needs to be longer.. a lot longer..

as originally intended there should only be one ball at a time on the blue ramp.. as that one ball is loaded (to the shooter) the ramp should rise then allowing one more ball to teeter past your add on piece.. then roll down the ramp to the shooter.. thus slowing game play down to the "recommended" / "legal" 100 balls per minute.. hope that makes sense??

your looks good but all that weight against the little lifter arm may cause problems later???

    again just my two cents..
