Default Have questions an am new to the world of pachinko

Hello everyone. Always wanted a pachinko machine and finally got one! I bought the nishijin y&o “Magic Box” model. I lights up and the balls shoot and also activates screen wheel the ball goes into center hole. I don’t know if it never pays out or if I just never won anything. Also the box in back has, I believe an error code, H lit up. Iv been reading thread on here and have tried a couple things and nothing has changed. I’ve held down the reset button on the side of that box and unplugged and replugged a couple wire ribbons. Also the display part with the 2 buttons on the front of machine where you feed the balls doesn’t light up or work. I live in southeast Michigan. I would appreciate any help or advice any of you could give or if anyone on here does any repairs in my area. And thanks for having me in your forums!

If you have 2 buttons on the front and a little blank display, it means you have a machine with a CR prefix and it was once connected to a parlour ball loan system. As long as your shooter works, thats nothing to worry about.
As you say the screen changes and the video reels spin when you get a ball in the centre pocket. It means the pocket sensor is working. It should make a small payout of (average) 3 balls for every ball that enters the start pocket.

If you aren't getting a payout, it means that the machine thinks that the bottom tray is full (but there is normally a message on screen to tell you) or that the top tank at the rear is empty. Or there is an obstruction in the ball paths before the payout motor.
Best way is to follow the path of balls all the way through the back to the motor and make sure the stopper is up and nothing is jammed in the back. Then remove the payout assembly (watch oiut for falling balls) and check that isn't jammed.

Hello Sam and welcome to the group

Always nice to see a fellow Michigander You have some great starter advice from the others and we love pictures (2meg max picture size).

The "H" error code is unfamiliar to me, sorry I can't help with that.
