    Default Nishijin B shooter

I discovered that the shooter on my new machine is not feeding balls in to it. The clear piece that is supposed to move with the shooter to load a ball is not connected to anything. There is also a loose wire that i believe is supposed to connect but I am not sure where. The plastic that guides the wire is damaged i am sure I can replace that.

Can anyone describe how it is supposed to connect or better yet post pictures.

    Thank you

Looks like your missing the wire off the shooter handle that pulls the plastic loader 20160719_123103-1.jpg

Yup, I can see the remains of a broken piece now that i know where to look. I can make a new wire, where does the other end attach and what about the piece dangling at the bottom my picture? Maybe I am just missing the context can you take another picture a bit less zoomed in please.

I see it now, the dangling wire in your pic is the overflow wire. If you win to much the balls back up and push the wire to prevent the shooter from loading more.20180323_181546-1.jpg

Check out the model B video by Mopar in the stickies. At about 3:25 you will see the overflow and shooter wires.

Thanks I see it. Considering that this was free it isn't too much to replace. Only other things missing are the lower tray cover and glass. I wish the A that i was given at the same time was in as good of shape.

Thanks for all the help next step cleaning.

Would anyone be able to give me measurements of the wire? I can probably guesstimate but I would like to be as close to original as I can. I am using 16 awg wire it should be close enough in diameter. I will probably heat treat it when it is shaped.

/apparently my spell check is ok with guesstimate

Excellent i can work with that. It is my plan to make measurements of parts while I restore my machine. Perhaps 3d scan the plastics as well and make it all available on line somewhere.

    All,

I am starting to take the machine apart to clean it. The clear plastic on the right side is nailed in place. Any thoughts on removing the nails without damaging the plastic? I have looked over the posts covering refurbishing machines but cant find a reference to this issue.

Hey there, I'm curious how you were able to get the plastic pieces nailed down off of the front of the machine for cleaning without breaking or cracking them?

I used a combination of a small pry bar (it is the size of a cat’s paw, but thinner), a thin flat putty knife, small flat cutters to pry up the nails once they are loose (don’t squeeze enough to cut, just hold under the head to pull) and a lot of patience.

Some of those suckers don’t like to give up easy.

Thanks I'll give it a shot, I really appreciate the advice. I have everything except the patience but will do my best. Love the cat icon!

I am short on patience as well, I have to walk away and work on other things.

Josie aka “the goat” has a wonderful belly and even lets you pet it... but she has since licked quite a bit of hair off and now has a naked granny panties look. Your avatar makes me sing the song and it sticks in my head. Welcome by the way!
