    Default Ball dispenser in cabinet

I am toying with ideas for a cabinet that will hold 2 or 3 machines that will share a ball lifter. I am toying with the idea of putting a dispenser in it. Something like what is in the attached video ant 1:52 except that paying for them is unnecessary. Has any one tried something like this or have ideas about the mechanism used for them commercially. I don't expect that I will be able to buy one and will end up fabricating it from scratch bit it would be nice if I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

    Thanks in advance

Well If you have CR machines (most modernes after about 1998) with a Daverob dongle you don't need a dispenser

But saying that, I have a 100/500 yen dispenser at home. It requires the weight of a coin to activate the payout, Its all mechanical and no electronics inside. I managed to get it to payout using a basic timer circuit and a solenoid out of an electric door release strike.

I think there is a thread somewhere on it. I'll hunt later

I only have 70s machines possibly 80 soonish. I found one thread with some pictures but not enough to get a complete idea. Some web searching leads me to believe they are not very common.

    Drunkenclam,

Thanks for the link do you have any more pictures of the mechanism that feeds the balls? The idea I am toying with at the moment is basically a reverse ball lifter so as it turns balls move down in t a tray.

Also what are the approximate dimensions of the entire thing. I figure if i find on the buy at a latter time I can retro fit the cabinet assuming i leave enough room.

They are availble if you know when to look.

But try to avoid anything too electronic.
    like this is one

Anything with a card reader or keypad is best avoided.

Dimensions are standard pachi height by approx 50mm wide and 150mm depth I think all Sandwiches are that size. (no its not a joke, thats what they call them.

    try internet search of

That helped a lot, knowing the right search term made all the difference. It make sense that the dimensions are consistent. I can use them to plan the cabinet while I am looking for the right unit.

Hi, DC. How are you feeding balls to the dispenser? I have a couple mechanical dispensers similar to yours that I want to add to my early modern island but wasn’t sure of the best way to ensure a consistent feed of balls to the dispenser.

Any existing technology can be used. A ball tank off a vintage. Or top rail shoots or waste ball catchers. But I think a vintage ball tank would be best.
