Default What is the best way to turn on/off pachislo?

I typically don’t use the power switch located on the power supply box to turn on or turn off the Pachislo machine because I don’t want to have to open the door each time. Instead, I plug or unplug the power cord from the wall outlet but is there any harm to the unit’s power supply or any other component such as circuit boards when I do it this way?

Switching off at your wall outlet is preferred. Especially if you have a 24vac pachislo. As switching off at the PSU will still leave the transformer live and can overheat.

As mine are in cabinets. I use a smart socket controlled by a phone app to turn my machines on and off. Meaning I can do it anywhere in the world. Only problem is, I can't play them from anywhere in the world.

I agree with the surge protector option.. I take my machines a step further and have them all connected to a UPS.. This makes sure the machines are getting clean power, no spikes or sags. I do this for my arcade machines as well.
