That is a great question! I need a source too.

I used to use plastic stained glass (simulated stained glass made of plastic) paints from Hobby Lobby. I could never find online. Or on the Hobby Lobby website
The paint was water based and very thinned out, it would spread around with a toothpick.
The paint was in very small plastic containers and dried out in storage.

Cardwii or Rival ? Please HELP.

I've been thinking about using some of that sun catcher paint. $3 at Walmart. Anybody want to be the guinea pig?

Ok, cool! Glad we figured that out, and since you've used it already, that's what I'm going to use.

For the translucent colors such as the orange seen on that pocket I use Tamiya Acrylic paints. They are near a perfect match even to the original color. The blue is a hair darker than most machines. But it isn't too far off. Plus these paints would be a little more durable than the $3 walmart paint probably.

Here is a link to the orange:
    https://www.amazon.com/TAMX26-81526-...lic+paint+x-26

But you should be able to find the following colors in translucent from Tamiya (part number next to the name):
    Orange X-26
    Red X-27
    Yellow X-24
    Green X-25
    Blue X-23

    All are near perfect matches.

Also most hobby stores will have them cheaper than Amazon does.

    100 machines and counting...

I've never used Tamiya paint on pachis, but I used to sell it in the '90s..and it was my favorite paint to use, especially the clear colors!! So if I ever get around to painting pachis it's definitely the one I'd try first!!

You could probably get the regular size bottles at a hobby shop closer to $3 and I think Tower might sell the smaller bottles like the one in the link above for just $2!!
