Default What exactly means the ver. in the name of modern machines?

    Hi,
i couldn't find any clear information on this, maybe someone here can light me up. on modern machines there often stands ver. in the name or the description of the machine. for example this machine : CR Pachinko Akumajō Dracula 129ver. and CR Pachinko Akumajō Dracula 399ver.
what exactly does that 129ver. and 399ver. mean and what's the difference between these machines? i think it has to do something with the reach or jackpot win chance, but i'm not sure.
if this question was answered somewhere before and i just was blind and had not found it, sorry
    thanks,
    ladebalken

i think the difference is the odd set on the machine 1 in 129 or 1/399 the lower odds should it more often but be short payouts.. the high one wil be dry longer and have long payouts... some one will be along shortly to confirm im Stupid

    hey,
makes sense. maybe i. e. on the 1/129 machine one ball out of 129 that hit the hole will be a random payout?
i have found this in another forum:

"You shoot balls into a hole. When a ball goes into the hole, you have a chance of winning. Depending on the machine, the chance may be 1/99, 1/399, or anywhere in between. You win when all three numbers match up.

So all three numbers matched up, and you won. You now enter into the bonus round, where a hatch opens, the balls go into it, and tons of balls come out.

After the bonus round ends, you will either go into something called jitan after winning with an even number (you don't want this) or kakuhen after winning with an odd number (you want this!)

Jitan gives you 100 chances to win again, at the same odds you were playing at, but being able to get the balls in so much more easily that you don't lose money. Kakuhen changes the odds to make winning ridiculously easy, and lets you get balls in easily similarly to jitan until you win again. In other words, when you get kakuhen, you've already won again. Based on whether you won with an odd or even number, you'll either go into kakuhen again (yay) or jitan (noo!) Your chances of winning during kakuhen are 100%. Your chances of winning during jitan within the 100 bonus shots is around 25%."

i like my pachi's alot and because of all the japanese letters and symbols it's not easy to understand (well, at least for me) and whats with all that 1/99, 1/129, 1/399 stuff thats going on

1 out of 129 spins of the 'reels' will result in a win.

For another example using your CR Pachinko Akumajō Dracula title the 129ver pays out approximately 410 to 810 pieces and the 399ver pays out approximately 1100 ~ 2210 pieces according to the model information page of each machine at these links.

    129ver https://www.p-world.co.jp/machine/database/7915
    399ver https://www.p-world.co.jp/machine/database/7819

I have also heard the odds described as that of a roulette wheel. If you had 129 or 399 numbered spots for the ball to land it could hit a jackpot (or fever round) at anytime. Not necessarily every 129 or 399 spins but it could happen more or less often. I've had very long spells of any winning on say my Star Wars R2D2 machine where I have played thousands of balls. Then all of the sudden I have had eight fever rounds all one after another. A bit boring for a spell but crazy fun when it hits!

I would guess that many are made with the different odds of payout to appeal to the likes of different players in the parlors. These are set odds per machine unlike the pachislot machines having a changeable payout ratio, at least in the older machines. American slots are the same. I can go to a casino and play three identical machines but the odds could all be changed any time when not in play. If I sat down at three pachinkos seemingly the same but with different odds, those odds are set in stone per each machine.

so the 1/399 ver. had more payouts than the 1/129 ver.? i thought it was the other way around... or am i missing something here?

the back story of all this is: i like to buy that dracula castlevania machine, but the 1/399 version is much cheaper (but momentarily not in stock) than the 1/129 version.
so i was wondering what was the difference and wich ver. is better for home use. my tom and jerry had 1/99 ver. and payouts are not often, but thats ok and the motivation to see all the scenes is higher for me
    thank you all.

The 1/129 version will pay out more often, but the number of balls won on each payout will be less than the number of balls won when you hit a fever on the 1/399 machine. For home play you need to decide if you’d rather have more frequent yet shorter fever rounds or the less frequent payout that lasts longer. And as Peteybob said, 1/399 is an average. The machine may pay out after 100 spins or after 1500, but in the long term it will average a fever once every 399 spins. The trick in the pachinko parlor is to find a machine whose data counter says it has a lot more spins than the odds on the machine and hope the “overdue” payout happens while you play. If that machine is a machine with less frequent odds (1/399) you have the opportunity to win more than at a machine with more frequent payouts.
