Oh Tony, are you going to think less of me now??? I confess, I do smoke...have quit 3 times for lengthy periods, but not lengthy enough. I would like to quit now but am about to have an addition built on to my house....I don't know if I can handle the stress of it all without my "crutch".... .....by the way...I don't really drink that much, one good box of wine will last a week or two around here...a bottle of Kahlua, now thats a different story.......:smirk:

Dattia, don't get upset with me about your smoking, I smoke too, and like you, have quit several times, "but never for long enough."

My longest without cigarettes was five years at my sisters urging, God rest her soul. I gaiined over 50 pounds, something not good for a leg amputee. Started back reasoning I either die from lung cancer or heart attack from being way over weight.

I smoke because I think I look sexy with a cig hanging from my mouth (cough, cough). It really is a tough one to kick...but I am still hopeful. My longest was 3 years, but I started again at my brother's funeral. Right now though I am under a great deal of pressure from my kids to quit. Nowadays they learn in school how really bad smoking is....good for them, bad for me.

As a kid I watched my Grandfather slowly die from emphysema and later watched my father suffer through it until he was taken by cancer. Trust me, you don't want to put your kids through that. Quit while you can. We want to keep you around here for as long as we can.
