Default 2 Nishijin - One Loads Balls in the Shooter, One Doesnt

    Hello,

I just bought my first two Pachinko machines on Craigslist - Both Nishijin. After watching a few Youtube videos, I understand how to make them work. One works perfectly, one does not load a ball into the shooter when the handle is pulled down. I opened the glass case and the green ball loader to compare the two. On the one that works, pulling the lever down also rocks the clear plastic lever that loads the ball. On the one that does not work, pulling the lever down has no impact on the clear plastic lever. What is the connection between the metal lever being pulled down and the plastic lever loading the ball? They do not seem to touch, yet when the green ball loader is almost closed, pulling down the metal lever on the working unit rocks the clear ball loader. Thanks in advance.

There is a wire attached to the shooter lever in back that loads the next ball via the plastic loader. Perhaps it's missing or broken on one.

Pics are always helpful. 2 meg max size.

    And Welcome aboard.

Figured it out. I needed to move a few pieces into the correct position in the back. That's the benefit of having a working model to compare to 😊

Here's the front and back. I hit a few jackpots tonight, so I know the mechanisms are working. I even got one in the bowling alley. The negative terminal popped out, do I haven't had a chance to test the lights.

ok lets take a look at these two pics

the second pic shows what i call the ball lifter.. the plastic stud that sticks out is pushed down allowing a ball to move to the lifter. when the stud is allowed to move back up the ball is lifted to the shooter to be shot.. as you shoot it the stud swing back down and another ball is allowed to enter the lifter etc etc again and again..

in the first pic i see two problems.. you biggest problem is the lifter stud is on top of the swing arm that operates it... open the shooter tray and as you close it again make sure the stud is under that plastic swing arm..

the second problem is the tray full rod.. is is the piece of wire that is bent up in the shape of a mountain... that wire needs to be carefully bent over and down around that other stud.. it need to be bent so it is just under the stud.. its function (not really needed for home play) is to deactavate the shooter if the lower second tray is filled with balls... balls can fill the lower tray and backup inside the machine causing problems.. so that wire will get pushed down by the weight of the balls in the tube.. that will lift the wire and cause the plastic arm to be temporaly hung up in the back position.. this will keep the lifter from lifting any balls to the shooter. at least until the lower tray is emptied by the player..

if you have not had a chance to watch this take a look some of these features are covered.. take a look at all 3 vids.. the ideas on concepts from one stay of machine can be used for others once you have a better understanding of them all..

I have a machine that doesn't feed a ball into the shooter lane. The tab is broken off the piece that triggers a ball to fall into the shooter lane. Where can I buy parts? thanks, bob

Thanks for the pictures, the best bet for finding that part is probably eBay searching for "Nishijin Pachinko Machine Parts". I just checked but didn't see one. Perhaps another board member has a machine their parting out and might be able to help you out.

Thanks… I am going to try drilling a hole and adding a stiff wire to the part to see if that will work…
