Thanks, Moparformances, for your reply and offer to help. I know nothing about Pachinko machines so I am so lost in trying to repair my machine that pictures won't help, but I do appreciate the offer. Also, time is an issue. But, mostly, I would like a knowledgeable repair person because I am ignorant.

assuming its a vintage machine, there's been tons of people in your position that have had their machines fixed via correspondence on this site. they're not complicated machines at all and you'll learn how yours works which will help when it inevitably needs adjustment and resetting. it may even be much quicker than the repair person route.

Well, Emmadog, everything you say makes sense. Moreover, I am not completely baffled by mechanical objects. If I had started this project awhile ago, I'd do what you suggest. Since, however, I have waited until the last moment, I think I need someone who knows what they are doing to get involved. But I do appreciate all the helping hands available on this site and for your suggestion. Thank you.

Emmadog, I decided to follow your suggestion and do the job myself. I took the machine out and tried to find the fault. But, everything worked! So, now I just need to clean it, and I am good to go. I could hardly believe that it worked since it has sat, not played, for over 40 years. Thanks again for your interest in helping. I probably will need your assistance some time in the future as the machine is going to my son and his family and he is less mechanically inclined than I. Also, he doesn't have as much free time as I am retired.

That’s good news. Pachinko repair people are hard to find but fortunately vintage machines are easy to figure out. There’s plenty of members here that are better equipped than I am to help fix them as I quickly lost interest in most vintage machines after discovering arrangeball machines. That interest has waned too though and for the past 7 years or so my budget and time have gone to woodworking and bandsaws, jointers, planers, etc....
Anyway, they key for efficient help on here is to post plenty of pictures.
