    Default Vertigo

I am considering purchasing this and I am wondering if anyone here has heard of this or maybe has one or know of someone that has one? It was featured on Shark Tank a few months ago and a shark did invest in it. I hope I have posted this in the right area.....

I like the idea but I always wonder what happens when the computer craps out. How easy (hard) is it to get it running again?

If there is a harddrive fail from what I understand its a matter of redownloading the licensed games from Steam. But otherwise like anything computerwise the hardware can be fixed or replaced.
    No argument here about price.
Anyone else know about competitors for this?

I've seen something like this at the pinball and gameroom expo here in Denver. It's... nowhere near ideal for playing virtual pinball, given the vertical form factor.

Thanks for your input. Did you try it out? If so please explain why it is bad.
I have very limited space and with its 25inch X 25inch footprint it seems to be the only way I can get over 100 pinball games in my livingroom.
Again thanks for telling me more about your experience with it.

First, the computer involved was slightly underpowered, probably in the video card - there was lag involved. My husband and I both play Pinball Arcade on our desktop PCs, and it didn't even match my husband's old computer for responsiveness.

Second, there's something mildly wrong with the form factor in terms of playing pinball on it. Mostly because of the vertical orientation. Pinball Arcade can be played that way, but it really works best on a desktop with a portrait display. Plus, you're just "too close to the action" compared to the desktop in portrait. I have more space between me and my 21" desktop monitor than I had between me and the larger monitor of the cabinet. In general, a "minicab" 1/2 scale virtual pincab would be a much better "feel" on the form factor for not much more space taken up.

WOW! Thanks for your information about it! I have not seen it in person and hopefully will see and see what feel the Vertigo up close and personal has here in a few days at a arcade here that has one coming in. You have made some valid points. I love playing FX2,Pinball Arcade and now FX3 on my computer with my monitor in portrait display mode also! I have also been looking at all the minicabs. I am also trying to learn the PinballX front end that most people are using that sell the cabs. Who know maybe I will build one or buy a kit of one :-)
