    Default Japanese Culture and Frogs

I was watching National Geographic channel or something, but caught that Frogs are a sign of Good Luck in Japanese Culture.

That would explain the Magic Pulsar!

In Mississippi it's a sign of a good dinner!

I wonder why frogs though? Is it any frog or a particular frog? Do toads work? Is this the turning into a prince thing taken way too far?

Yamasa has had frogs on their machines at least as far back as 1996.

Frankly, I find them best for eating though, as Tulsa said.

I'm sure the people that make Depends, would prefer that little fact not make it's way to the general populace.

actually the japan frog story goes,, when you see the first frog of the new year, if your on dry land and it jumps toward water, your will shed as many tears it takes for the frog to swim away,, if it jumps in the water you will have misfortune,, if it jumps in your direction,, you will have many friends,, and if it jumps away from you, you will lose friends,, ,, i'm not sure what happens if you catch one and eat it,, other than you had a nice meal,, if you like eating frogs

when i had my house here we had a inground pool without a cage.

when the no-name storm hit about 10 years ago we had hundreds of frogs swimming and mating in the pool.

there were thousands of frogs hopping all over the roads in our neighborhood.

i had to scoop them all up out of the pool and toss them over the fence.

Is that why i'm a Luckydog???
