Default Help ID/value vintage Nishijin and Okumura-Yuki (Thank you!)

    Hello, Pachinko Detectives. :-)

I have 2 vintage machines that I've loved just because they look so freaking cool. I'm moving, and I'd like to sell them, so I've been doing some research.... And boy, is it complicated. LOL

I've never played these. All the parts look to be in place, but

So I could really use some expert insight here.

    1) Nishijin Super DL - Scuba Diver? Shark Hunter? Think it's 75/76 based on a post I found here at the Pachitalk forums. :-) Am I right? What do you think the value is?

    2) Okumura-Yuki JL15 - Center figure is either a russian nesting doll or an owl or something else. Yeah. I know. You'd think I could tell the difference. I'm thinking 1980 on this, based on the expiration sticker design. Am I right? What's the value?

I figure these are super common machines, and I'm expecting you to say something like $50/each. Am I close?

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your expertise.

    Best,

Hello Diane; welcome to Pachitalk! On the Nishijin, it's a 'B' style, and mid 70's looks about right. You should be able to determine the age of both by the expiration stickers. I couldn't read the numbers on the picture you took, but both machines should have stickers on them.

Thank you for the fast reply. :-)

    Any idea on value?

    Thanks!

Hard to say what their value would be. The Nishijin is missing the track cover, so can't be played until that is in place, and is missing the seesaw cover (not a real big deal), I can't see enough detail on the other. The values would be whatever the market would bear. If someone absolutely loves a machine, and "must" have it, they would be willing to pay for the privilege. I'd say probably $50-$150 might be realistic depending upon the desirability for pachinko machines in your area. That seems to be the typical asking price in my area. You might want to keep them, and play/enjoy them.

    Thank you so much!!

(It's costing a fortune to move across the country... and I'm having to leave most of my possessions behind. Otherwise, I'd keep these forever!)

    Diane,
Shipping will be expensive. I am in Texas and might consider the Nishijin.
What part of Texas are you in?

    LOL! Very cool.

And, seriously, I'm not crazy. Here's the 1962 Impala. 1962-Chevrolet-Impala-american-classics--Car-100896663-f3cac541e1a91f9973051a2993aba344.jpg

Obviously different side by side... but your avatar is verrrrrry tiny!
