Very nice! I just picked up a Caille Doughboy. Since you seem to be a connoisseur of old slots...what can you tell me about Caille? I'll post a pic in a new thread when I carry it upstairs.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. I have had slots for over forty years. I have just started with the jennings and am surprised at the differences between the different old mechanical slots. My expertise is limited. I have a great business in Reno that I take my electromechanical slots to and have had some help with the mechanical. Excellent manuals on the market for mechanical slots and even some slot sites with good information.
I reccomend Squires and Corrie in San Mateo for parts. Steve Squires has been in the business for over sixty years and has a huge inventory of parts.
Dynasty games in Reno is a great slot repair shop.

Went and looked at some pictures of Callie Doughboy slots. Cannot wait to see your pictures. Be careful packing it upstairs none of these old mechanicals are light. Keep that “SQUIRES AND CORRIE” site in mind as they have bought a lot of the old inventories of mechanical slot repair shops and I have found Steve to be very helpful with both parts and explaining how to properly install them. Not exactly my forte.

    PICTURES PLEASE.
Hope you start your own thread as I think it will be fairly unique post.

Would love to add a Jennings to my collection! Some pics of This one would be sweet! Do all Jennings use a chain drive to advance the coins? I have always thought of Jennings as one of the "top dogs"! One of THE brands to have.

All the Jennings I have (3) have the chain drive. I am picking this one up Sunday. The man I bought it from has a slot mechanic and they have been going thru it. I know that on the old mechanicals the jackpot is not hit often but the Jennings has a reserve jackpot above the jackpot that drops after the jackpot pays out and the another coin is played. I used to think Mills was the best in old mechanicals but have changed my mind. If you ever get one their is an excellent manual. Geddes/Mead “Owners pictorial duide for the care and understanding of the Jennings Bell slot machine.”

I will try and post more pictures but I have not figured out how to make them small enough to post.

Just an interesting point on a lot of the old Mechanicals the jackpot mechanism were taken out. In its place was a sticker on the jackpot glass.

Note on the picture of the mechanism the square nut about two inches up from the right corner. This is the adjustment for the payout and only needs to be out a little and the machine will not pay. If you adjust it to much it will wear out the machine. That is just one reason to get a Jennings manuel if you have a machine.
The manual is available on ebay for about the best price.

Thank you. Very interesting. That being said I will stick with Jennings machines made after 1942. I have been downsizing my arrangeball collection and getting Slots.
When I get time I will post pictures in my collection.
