Default Where do the babies...errm BALLs come from...in the back?

The back of pachinko machines, I know people have a basket to capture the balls that the machines normally would take and give back to the casino.
Where the hell did they come from in the back here?

    image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg

I can’t tell if there is a hole or if I need to prop my basket up on the metal ledge of the machine a little more. I chose to use wooden feet (which I will look to cover-up later because cosmetically really look like crap) but I need to know where I should expect these balls in the back.

    thanks!

Is each machine really different (IE you don’t know) or is the grand poo-bah of pachi-talk just being difficult? LOL

With the new table I just want to make sure I will catch them.
To be clear...is it a slot they fall out of? OR Do all these machines just ‘lose’ balls sometimes via mechanical failure (or probability) in the back?

Well normally its a small hole about 1/2" square. Then a second hole near by for the ball dump. And yes position varys per machine and it can be difficult to locate as its normally behind a circuit board and recessed.

The logical thing is to drop a ball through and see exactly where it goes

If you've not played pachinko before? (I'm not sure if you've tested these to confirm they are functioning?) then you may find this link useful for setting up and where to locate the tray.

The truth is I have owned this machine for months now but have yet to play it. I have heard about more than one area that the boss may come out the back of the machine but I didn’t realize they buried so much.

I have play pachinko before but this is my first machine and ownership is often different (when you are trying to work on the back end). That link did help thank you!

Excellent! This is exactly the response I was looking for...didn’t know there was two! I have yet to find it though . I guess I will be “dropping a ball”.

This is an 'outbox' which is mounted behind the machine to catch the played balls. It's adjustable up/down, left/right and front/back. Also includes a counter.

Maybe place a fluffy bath towel along the back of the frame. That should prevent balls from bouncing onto the table. I will say though that you'll probably never play one of your machines without having balls bounce on the table. When manually loading the front tray balls slip out of the hand occasionally. Even with a ball catcher in the back balls take wild bounces and come out of the catcher. Filling the top hopper during a fever usually causes a few balls to spill. If you're really concerned that the balls will mess up the table top you should invest in some type of a padded cover and make sure it doesn't impact game stability or ability for the machines to vent properly. Another bonus of a work bench. No one gives a crap about dinging the work surface.

I'm using an English language version of Yahoo Japan (http://yahoo.aleado.com/), any idea what I could search for to find one of these 'outbox's ?

Or any link to purchase, doesn't have to be yahoo Japan...

Looks interesting and I'd like to have one.

Then these when you need to move those full trays of balls around

Here are the two holes in the back / bottom of your machine.

    thumbnail.jpg

You can prop up the back of a tray if it is wider than the metal frame in the back or add a cross member to the feet.

any hardware store, buy pads for bottom of feet, and use alot of them, the ones I like are round circles the size of dimes and nickles, with many I just slide machines around, and never get marks, also make sure screws are tight

here a big HINT, just plug it in and play it, you will learn as you go, its loud, its fun, and the more you play, you will figure out the problems your having, and you will figure out how to fix them or ask for advise, don't over think these machines, just play them, put a box behind machine, put balls in top reservoir, and some in front, and play for a hour or two, then ask questions

Totally. I can appreciate what you’re saying and I have been playing it. My only hesitation as you alluded to in the other comment was having the balls on the floors if my wife’s slips on them. That was truly the only thing I wanted to circumvent before really starting to play the machine which was a good thing because I didn’t realize there were two holes initially and I didn’t want balls everywhere. I’m sure they are not easy to hunt for with all of the other furniture in here.

when a machine has 2 holes, one is losing balls, one is winning balls, also there is something that will block winning balls from exiting machine if the top hopper isn't full, some machines will remember how much it owes you and pay you once top hopper is filled, other will keep balls until it pays you, this is something that random owners have no clue, and think machine is broken because balls wont stay on top and keep coming out of front, most machines pay close to 2000 balls during fever round, and if you only have say 500, and your shooting some, as you do the math, you have to fill hopper like 5/6 times just to win one fever round, and if you get a 2nd or 3rd fever, which is common, the machine remembers your winnings, and could owe you 5000 balls, and random owners that don't know that and just want to dump machine thinking it broken, will sell cheap, I've got 2 machines that way, and others here have also
